Solutions

  1. DcDeathscythe's post in Using Le Potato Install works great but after reboot right side of monitor is slightly blurred and left side is clear. was marked as the answer   
    I have finally figured out the issue, the blur is a a shadow effect that makes the text look doubled which was being caused by the display compositing being enabled.  Once turned off the issue was resolved.
