    Since you want to use a Banana Pro it should read CONFIG_SPI_SUN7I instead? It's not defined in Igor's config and maybe that's the reason: http://will-tm.com/spi-on-the-cubieboard2/
     
    Regarding mainline kernel, SPI and device tree have a look at http://linux-sunxi.org/SPIdev
