RTL8723BS Bluetooth problem

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I have a NOVAsom M7+ board with a RTL8723bs module with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integrated. The Wi-Fi works normally and without problems, however the Bluetooth isn't detected at all. When I try to open the Bluetooth Manager app gives me this error: "Connection to BlueZ failed. BlueZ daemon is not running. blueman-manager cannot continue. This probably means that there were no Bluetooth adapters detected or Bluetooth daemon was not started".

I already searched the internet and found some people with problems related to this module and Bluetooth, does anyone know how to solve this?

Best regards

Hi,

I'm using Debian GNU/Linux 10 with 4.4.167 kernel..

When I made the "dmesg | grep -i 8723 it shows the Bluetooth interface but when I try to open the Bluetooth Manager says the "Connection to BlueZ failed"..

And when I made the "sudo rfkill list" it shows me only this two:

0: phy0: Wireless LAN
    Soft blocked: no
    Hard blocked: no
1: phy1: Wireless LAN
    Soft blocked: no
    Hard blocked: no
