Please forgive if this been posted before, I've done a search and found nothing.

I'm running xfce desktop and as stated, window control buttons are missing from top right of windows.. I set up a temporary additional user, same on that one. Window configuration is correct.

  3. Adjust your preference.
Chrome (Desktop)
  1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
