How to update libstdc++6?

Featured Replies

As far as I understand it depends on default compiler version, which depends on OS release.

4.8.4 matches current version for Ubuntu Trusty.

You can try Ubuntu Xenial images - they have libstdc++6 version 5.3.1

You talk about image Armbian_5.14_Lime2_Ubuntu_xenial_3.4.112?

OK, you right, Xenial build have libstdc++6 5.3.1
But this build don't have functionality like the Trusty, I talk about I2S/slave mode.

Maybe possibly make upgrade the libstdc++6 up to >= 5.2 for Trusty - what you think?

AFAIK this does not depend on OS release, only on kernel configuration

It has giant list of reverse dependencies, if anything depends strictly on older version (i.e. gcc), it will break, and not in a good, easily recoverable way.
