May 26, 20251 yr Hi. Im sorry, if the question below has been already discussed and published somewhere, but i didnt find proper information. So, what i have: orangepi5max, https://github.com/armbian/build.git this armbian, https://github.com/rockchip-linux/kernel.git and this kernel, which is placed in armbian-build/kernel. I've tried to use "userpatches/linux-$LINUXFAMILY-$BRANCH.config" config from armbian manual, to specify path to kernel, but despite the fact that manual states, that my custom config should replace the default one, ./compile.sh ignores it. So what am i doing wrong and is it even possible nowadays to assebmle the image using local kernel or it is already restricted?
May 26, 20251 yr Solution Not sure if it is possible to use a local kernel source directory. At least I don't know how to do that. Easiest is probably just to create a repo and define url and branch in board your custom board config.
