Armbian kernel on Buildroot

Does it make sense? I would like to use the mainline armbian kernel on a custom minimal Buildroot image to use on a orange pi zero. Buildroot because of its lightness and armbian because it has Opi audio drivers and codec that doesn't seem to be included in Buildroot default kernel. 

 

If this is possible, could you help me with the configuration of Buildroot to use armbian as kernel?
