OPi Win - ethernet port on legacy kernel (3.x)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone was having issues with the ethernet port using the legacy kernel ?

It does seem to kind of work ... it will get DHCP from the router and configure the routing tables etc but after that it goes wonky.

When I do a ping test from the router I get "50/50 transmitted, 15/50 received, 70% loss". A ping test from the opi-win to the router gets a similar result.

If I try a ping/ssh from a PC connected to the router I get a 95% packet loss :(

Everything else seems to work fine ... HDMI, USB, WiFi (AP/STA modes) which is really, really nice.

Thanks

TB

I have the same problem when using the pre-build image.

Yesterday, I compiled an image using latest source code and deployed it on two boards. Everything is working fine now

Now, I see the issue again when connecting to a Gigabit Ethernet switch :(.

There is no problem if we connect board to a Fast Ethernet switch

Most if not all problems which are written under Pine64 are also present here. Documentation is only slightly outdated. Some things were fixed in the meantime.

Nothing we can do about.

Thank Igor. I do work-around the issue by adding ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full to /etc/rc.local as suggestion and it works fine now :)
