Hi does install to emmc works for orange pi plus 2 h3 board? I will be getting my plus 2 soon so want to know is it supported in arbian jessie yet.

I believe someone has to look through potential differences between our nand-sata-install.sh and loboris' install_to_emmc (that is known to work on the Plus with kernel 3.4). Maybe Igor did that already?

There's the wrong u-boot running (U-Boot 2011.09-rc1 (Jun 21 2015 - 19:46:23) Allwinner Technology) therefore boot.src will never be read? AFAIK this u-boot will tell the kernel to search on /dev/mmcblk0p2 for the rootfs (default with all Xunlong and loboris images) and that does not even exist in our default images.

Yes, but even I load it manually with changed u-boot parameters it does not work. Strange.

 

Maybe it can be done with mainline u-boot if this emmc is wired like normal mmc? I need to try that.

In Mini-FAQ under 5.05 changes i found "Booting from eMMC on OPi Plus now possible", but how to do so? with installer that didnt work.....

That means that boot loader is patched / prepared and we did a manual boot. For installer we need to create / adjust scripts and make few tests. This is scheduled for next release - in 2-3 weeks. This info is valuable for users who knows how to do it manually.
