Hi,

from armbian-config I can install several programs, e.g. softether VPN Server.

The version installed is rather old now (nevertheless it is still working). Is there an update for the armbian-config installable software or do I have to update it myself (in case of softether: download & compile, not via apt-get)?

Hi there,

If you are using ubuntu version of armbian,  I found someone has compiled a version for arm64 : https://launchpad.net/~paskal-07/+archive/ubuntu/softethervpn/+packages

It is Paskal-07 on launchpad.net

Softether is interesting, but Wireguard seems to be getting a strong step ahead.... as it's has the stamp of approval from torvalds...

 

WG is the basis for CloudFlare's WARP product for handheld devices, and read today (10/04) that WG was going to shift to Crypto API's in the Linux kernel...
