July 10, 20242 yr I'm trying to use a TP-Link tl-wn722n with AR9271 chipset, but it only shows up in lsusb: Spoiler orange:~:% lsusb Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0cf3:9271 Qualcomm Atheros Communications AR9271 802.11n Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub orange:~:% There is no such device in "ip a" or "iw list". I have enabled orangepi-5-ap6275p in armbian-config and full firmware package. Also installed the "firmware-ath9k-htc" package, but nothing helps. "modprobe ath9k_htc" returns that there is no such module. Edited July 10, 20242 yr by Netnax
July 10, 20242 yr Solution Its not enabled in config. 1. Sent PR to enable it https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/main/config/kernel/linux-rk35xx-vendor.config#L2885 2. Upgrade to vendor 6.1 kernel as we will not maintain 5.10.y anymore (there its also not enabled) 3. Use nightly kernel builds / tell us to sent update to stable repository
July 10, 20242 yr yes ath9k-htc is not enabled . You can also try to build your kernel and enable it. Or build the module on your existing 5.10, I did that on the ath6k in the past. Edited July 10, 20242 yr by Tony3
