TiVo Stream 4K (SEI500BS / S905X2) cannot boot Armbian – stuck in Fastboot / USB Burning Mode

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm trying to boot Armbian on a TiVo Stream 4K (Model: IPA1114HDW, Board: SEI500BS/Pyxis, SoC: S905X2, Android TV 10).

I've flashed S905X2-compatible images (like Armbian_23.02.2...6.1.11) using Rufus/Etcher/Armbian Imager with different DTBs, but I cannot get it to boot from SD or USB.

Toothpick method (short press): Enters Fastboot (limited permissions, no flash/dump).

Toothpick method (long press): Enters USB Burning Mode.

adb reboot bootloader and adb reboot recovery work, but there is no root access via ADB.

It seems external boot is disabled, U-Boot is locked, or secure boot is enforced. My next step is hooking up a UART USB-TTL adapter to grab the boot logs and check if U-Boot can be interrupted.

Has anyone successfully run Armbian or Linux on this exact SEI500BS/Pyxis board?

Thanks!
