I do not say at the same price. If I tell the manufacturer of the orange pi one, I want the arm mainboard

but it must have 4gb ram and usb mini b connectors at what volume number does the

manufacturer start listening? 50000 mainboards?

Beware that some SoC have limited address bus width, most can not deal with 4GB.

 

Assuming it will take redesigning of the mainboard, the modifications are not technically

impossible, not exponentially more expensive.

As I said, it depends of which SoC you wish to work with.

Allwinner H3 has 2GB limit, H5 and A64 has 3GB, the A80 has 8GB.

Rockchip RK3328 is limited to 4GB as well as RK3399.

we dont know. If someone from the community has ever done that. But I assume the more you order, the better is the price.

 We(FriendlyElec) can do it. The MOQ is 1000pcs using RK3399, but the engineer fee is $6000, or 1BTC(price is valid within 1 month) , Sample time is 6-7 weeks, you will get 3 samples.

if your order is more than 6000pcs in 12 months. The engineer fee can be returned in the last order.
