I'm wondering if I can use your images for running an audio streamer, outputing digital audio via USB Audio Class 2 (for connection to an external DAC).

you mention that it does not have audio driver : does this mean that even USB audio cannot be achieved ?

 

If not, any hints on why this is not supported ?

Use the Version with 3.4.107.

 

As far as i know only the newer Kernel-Versions dont support audio.

Image descriptions are only on-board hardware related.

 

It will work with any supported USB DAC. You might need to install base sound utilities which is trivial. 

 

And yes, 3.4.x has much better hardware support, audio cards included.

Not at the moment. I have to check up on audio part. Maybe we only need to enable it?    

 

I just plug in my C-media USB and it's not recognized. 

I'm still discovering the code base, but found this :

This might explain why USB audio is working on 3.4 but not on 4.0.
