  2. The Balthazar Personal Computing Device (BPCD) is an open-source hardware 13.3-inch laptop with a RISC-V, Arm, or FPGA module and designed to be upgradable, expandable, and sustainable. The developers say the laptop is based on a few concepts inspired by the EOMA68 project. The EOMA68 is a CPU module based on the PCMCIA form factor, and an Allwinner A20 EOMA68 module was showcased in a prototype of the Rhombus Tech 15.6-inch Libre Laptop but I don’t think the project was ever manufactured. Dear Armbian Community, We have some exciting updates to share with you! Firstly, we are thrilled to announce that we have successfully raised 5000 EUR for upgrading our CI servers. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you who participated in this fundraiser and for your continued support. Despite this success, our project still remains underfinanced, and we rely on your support to keep Armbian going. We also have some technical updates to share. FriendlyElec has sent us a sample of the NanoPi R6C, another RK3588S board that’s worth checking out. It comes with an M.2 slot and one less NIC compared to the R6S variant, and Armbian is available for bot…

  8. ELECFREAKS Pico:ed V2 is a Raspberry Pi RP2040 board heavily inspired by the BBC Micro:bit with an edge connector exposing rings suitable for crocodile clips, a 17×7 LED matrix display, and designed for the classroom. We’ve seen several BBC Micro:bit clones – or rather adaptations – over the years with boards such as the SiFive Learn Inventor, Elecrow Mbits, and HiHope “Big Brother” board. The Pico:ed V2 adds to the list, and the main differences are that it is based on the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller instead, and does not come with wireless connectivity relying on a USB interface only. 48. We’ve just reviewed the Raspberry Pi 4-powered CrowPi L laptop and Crowtail Starter kit used to teach programming and electronics, but Elecrow has now launched the “Raspberry Pi Pico Advanced Kit” with 32 electronics modules, a smart kit car, and 32 tutorials that should be a more affordable way of teaching electronics and programming. However, it does so in a different way, as instead of using visual programming and Python, the Raspberry Pi Pico Advanced Kit’s lessons rely on MicroPython, and the projects are different with for example parts to build an obstacle avoidance, line tracking, or remote controlled car. Package content: Optional Raspberry Pi Pico board with R…

  50. Remove stmmac change from net-phy-Support-yt8531c.patch as its causing 32-bit allwinner boards to hang on boot Description The 32-bit allwinner boards are known to hang with 6.1.30 kernel. On investigation, I was able to narrow the issue down to the above mentioned patch. The patch is supposed to add support for yt8531c, but it was also modifying stmmac ethernet driver to add a fix for realtek chip. This doesn't make sense to me and removing that code solved the issue. Jira reference number AR-1764 How Has This Been Tested? Here are the topics we are working on: Infra We are aware that our primary repository management and rsync servers need serious upgrades, as it takes hours and hours to deliver a release. Past week we have enabled two additional servers and several others are waiting for the upgrade. This will further improve time to deliver updates and new images. Documentation We are working on improving the documentation, focusing on the build framework. The current build framework documentation is largely outdated, which poses a challenge for those unfamiliar with the tool. Builds …
