  1. Description These patches exist on rockchip-5.18, but not on rockchip64-5.18. Patches that are part of LibreELEC patchset are dropped. Rest of the patches adjusted to apply cleanly. The only patch that gave me trouble was rk356x-vop2-support.patch due to multiple concurrent changes to dw_hdmi-rockchip.c. The patch now applies and compiles, and works on RockPi4-b, but I don't have a RK35xx device to test with, so any tests with such hardware is appreciated! How Has This Been Tested? [x] Compiled with mainline v5.18.3. Patches apply cleanly. [x] Booted on RockPi4-b. [x] Tested HDMI/rkvdec on RockPi4-b with FFMpeg-v4l2-request patchset and manually built Kodi and Moonligh…

  4. CNXSoft: This getting started guide/review of the SenseCAP K1100 sensor prototype kit is a translation of the original post on CNX Software Thai. The first part of this tutorial describes the kit and shows how to program it with Arduino to get sensor data to a LoRAWAN gateway and display it on Wio Terminal, before processing the data in a private LoRaWAN network using open-source tools such as Grafana. The second part – to be published later – will demonstrate the AI capability of the kit. In the digital era where IoT and big data are more prevalent, a large amount of data is required to be collected through sensors. To enable the digital transformation, SeeedStudio’s Sen…

  6. rbaron’s b-parasite is an open-source hardware Bluetooth LE plant watering sensor that can measure soil moisture and ambient temperature/humidity/light and works with ESPHome, Home Assistant, or any macOS or Linux platforms including the Raspberry Pi boards. It is based nRF52840 multi-protocol wireless microcontroller, so stanvn decided to add Zigbee support to the b-parasite through the “Zigbee Plant Sensor” firmware based on the Nordic Semi nRF5 SDK for nRF52 series of SoCs and working with Zigbee2MQTT. Let’s have a look at b-parasite hardware specifications first: Wireless MCU – Nordic Semi nRF52840 Arm Cortex-M4F multi-protocol wireless microcontroller with Bluetooth …

  12. Description Recently, I accidentally erased an SPI flash with an bootloader installed and tried to reinstall the latest bootloader. But it did not recognize the attached disks and proceeded to TFTP Boot. Only by stopping autoboot and hot-swapping the disks or reattaching did the bootloader recognize it, and I was then able to boot with the command. I investigated and found that the problem occured after U-Boot was updated to v2023.01. This issue has been resolved by applying a patch that was previously used in v2022.07. How Has This Been Tested? By compiling U-Boot from trunk (linux-u-boot-odroidhc4-current_24.2.0-trunk) for v2023.01, v2023.04, v2023.07, v2023.10 and t…

As we approach our next point release, the focus shifts entirely towards bug fixing and stabilization. Feature development is on hold this month to ensure that core functionalities like network connectivity, video output, and booting processes are solid. We aim to resolve as many issues as possible during this period. However, we encourage users to report any recognized problems here so that they can be addressed in future updates. Target for next release We are targeting kernel v6.6 for our current builds and v6.12 for edge builds, while vendor kernels will remain at their latest versions – 6.1.y for Rockchip 35xx and 5.15.y for Meson64 legacy. The router also supports VPN client and server modes, the Tor network, and Adguard Home, but I’ll invite readers to check out the GL.iNet Brume 2 security gateway review since I went through all these, and the hardware is very similar minus wireless connectivity.
