  1. odroidm1 / rk3568-odroid: recover overlays from 6.1; update .config; fix patch dir name I had inadvertently: used wrong naming for the patch folder completely left behind the patches in 6.1 folder when moved to 6.2 made it worse by moving to 6.3 This recovers the patches (confirmed working), updates the .config (no changes), and fixes the patch dir name. 15. Proposal to create a Community Supported config for Amlogic based TV Boxes to pickup the work that was done previously by balbes150 but is no longer supported by him. This also provides a place where development can occur within the Armbian framework since others on the internet are producing builds called Armbian that are not done from within the Armbian community. The strategy for Amlogic based TV Boxes has been to reuse the native u-boot that comes installed on the box on emmc. Through a process called 'multiboot enabling' a u-boot script is run to change the default u-boot environment to have the boot process look for a chain-loaded u-boot on either the sd card or us…

  17. Description The uwe5622 driver has been moved from allwinner directories into patch/misc directory with this previous pull request With this pull request, rockchip64 family will share the base patch in misc and provides an additional, small patch to fix specific compatibility for rockchip. Ideally this minor patch would be integrated in the big driver in patch/misc, but it is not trivial task and would then require extensive tests on allwinner platform. The pull request also provides a patch to the driver to let it compile and work on kernel v6.1, and also patches the rockchip64-edge kernel config. At last, it fixes a memcpy fat kernel warning about field-spanning memo…

As noted in the Khadas VIM1S announcement, the company is also preparing to launch the Khadas Edge2 single board computer with a Rockchip RK3588S octa-core Cortex-A76/A55 processor and a thickness of just 5.7mm (before a low-profile heatsink is installed). The new board follows a similar form factor as the original Khadas Edge board powered by a Rockchip RK3399 processor, except the edge connector is gone, so it can’t be used as a system-on-module anymore, but remains the thinnest and one of the most powerful Arm SBCs so far. 36. SONOFF MINI Extreme (aka MINIR4) is a ridiculously small WiFi smart switch based on ESP32 wireless microcontroller and designed to be connected to a load such as a light bulb and a wall switch that can be a momentary switch, a door exit switch, an SPDT switch, a latching switch, or even dry contact sensors. The tiny form factor (39.5×33 x16.8mm) enables the WiFi smart switch to fit into various boxes, even the smaller European gang boxes. Just like other SONOFF home automation devices, the MINIR4 works with eWelink mobile app, but it also implements some new interesting features such as the ‘Detach Relay’ mode. The hunk has been extracted and put into patches.armbian for both 6.1 and 6.2. The same hunk has been removed from the patch in misc. 38. big batch of all-around fixes (Version prefix, issues) Sorry for the long PR, but sending each of those separately is pointless, they make sense together and depend on each other for the most part. 👉 The .deb Versions are now prefixed with $REVISION (VERSION file), which should solve for much crazy when using the Armbian repo. This is still keeping the cache key and .deb Version: tied together, and will need more work down the line. This is a good enough fix for now, since keeping hit ratio across releases is not yet our priority. don't use "bright black" ANSI for logging unless we're running under a known-good terminal (eg, iTerm2) docker: fix: pass down OCI_TARGET_…

  53. Most of the ESP8266 and ESP32 projects and products we cover here use the Espressif microcontroller as the main chip, but ESP8266 started as a WiFi module meant to be controlled with AT commands from a host device. But there are still “legacy” products that may benefit from connecting to the cloud, and Espressif introduced the ESP-Hosted for that purpose in 2020, and recently released a next-generation ESP-Hosted solution (ESP-Hosted-NG) specifically for Linux hosts. The solution is available in two variants: ESP-Hosted-FG (First generation) exposing an Ethernet interface to the host and suitable for microcontrollers and Linux hosts, and the ESP-Hosted-NG presenting an 80…

  84. Description Bump 32-bit kernel to 6.3.8. I didn't bumped it for 64-bit sunxi devices as drv-rgb-add-ws2812.patch introduced in #5267 makes use of of_get_named_gpio_flags function which is removed in 6.3. As I don't have a Bigtreetech cb1, I am not comfortable modifying code to fix this patch. The kernel module added by drv-rgb-add-ws2812.patch is not enabled for 32-bit devices and hence it doesn't cause compilation issues on 32-bit sunxi kernel. Excluding drv-rgb-add-ws2812.patch, I have updated any patch that was broken, and have disabled patches where changes were present upstream. Alder Lake processors were first formally announced at the end of 2021 with the most powerful H-Series, followed by a range of Alder Lake Edge IoT processors, and in February, Intel officially launched Alder Lake P-Series and U-Series mobile hybrid processors which I had expected to find in several mini PCs by now.
