Description Reverse commit 75317a0 since this is a special case. Eliminate the real reason for the inability to boot the kernel. Linux kernel hangs in early boot on 32-bit ARM platform, when ftrace 4-byte "mcount" function call location for "_raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore" function straddles icache lines. The problem is present for (cross-compiler) GCC 10, 11, 12. It does not happen when the kernel is compiled with GCC 9, even when condition (1) is satisfied. Use multiple consecutive reads in rtw_sdio_read_port() to limit the number of bytes which are copied by the host from the card in one MMC/SDIO transfer. This allows receiving a buffer that's larger than the hosts max_req_size (number of bytes which can be transferred in one MMC/SDIO transfer). As a result of this the skb_over_panic error is gone as the rtw88 driver is now able to receive more than 1536 bytes from the card (either because the incoming packet is larger than that or because multiple packets have been aggregated). An OEM fanless network appliance has shown up online with a choice of 15-watt Intel Core i3-1215U, Core i5-1235U, and Core i7-1265U Alder Lake processors, and six 2.5GbE interfaces, as well as HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs, and support for M.2 NVMe SSD and 2.5-inch SATA drives. The design looks very similar to another white brand fanless network appliance with six 2.5GbE ports and an Intel Gemini Lake processor that we covered last year. Besides the faster processor, the new system replaces i225-V controllers with i226-V controllers, some of the USB ports have been upgraded to “USB 3.2”, and DisplayPort output was added for dual display setups. The second required field is the name (nickname) of the user on GIT who added (is responsible for supporting) this patch in the build system. The rest of the patch file name is at the discretion of the person who adds it and it is desirable to have a description of the purpose of the patch.
