Welcome to the latest Armbian Newsletter: your source for the latest developments, community highlights, and behind-the-scenes updates from the world of open-source ARM and RISC-V computing. This week: the desktop installer in armbian-config has been rebuilt from the ground up tiered installs, clean uninstalls, and snap-free native browsers across all architectures. Armbian Imager 2.0 is out, rewritten interface and flashing engine, with boards that boot already configured (username, Wi-Fi, timezone) and byte-for-byte write verification. And the NanoPi M5 becomes the first RK3576 board to boot end-to-end from UFS on mainline U-Boot, with no proprietary image in the loop. …

This skips all git checkout, patching, configuring and cleaning when USE_EXISTING_KERNEL_TREE=yes is passed. This can be useful when doing kernel development by making changes directly to the kernel sourcetree in cache/sources, while still allowing to use the compile.sh to use the same compilation commands, deb package building, ccache, etc. It is also useful when bisecting a kernel issue. Can be used something like this: USE_EXISTING_KERNEL_TREE=yes ./compile.sh default kernel To produce a kernel deb in a few minutes ready to be installed on a device. This is mostly a proof of concept to explore the usecase. In particular: I am not happy with the USE_EXISTING_KERN…

Description The lm75 sensor was defined in the dts as "onnn,lm75". Set it to "national,lm75" as is set in the upstream dts. (there is no such thing as "onnn,lm75"). Later on (or maybe I should include it there) we should remove the lm75 module from MODULES and MODULES8lEGACY in config/boards/helios64.csc, as the DTS already loads it. (which makes me think "onnn,lm75" as a DTS node never was recognized by a kernel, thus the need to explicitly load lm75). How Has This Been Tested?
