meson64: edge: rework to kernel 5.19 JIRA AR-1231 [x] based on the work done by @adeepn on #3898 -- thanks! [x] took the opportunity to finally remove CONFIG_ARCH_ROCKCHIP=y from meson64 .config [x] bumped to 5.19-rc3 without issue [x] backported a bunch of fixes I had done on 5.10 back in #3154 - namely: [x] remove meson_drv_shutdown revert patch, instead CONFIG_DRM_MESON=y and its dependencies in .config (this allows proper shutdown on non-ODROID, while keeping ODROID rebooting nicely -- reference https://lore.kernel.org/linux-arm-kernel/7h4kfjpe07.fsf@baylibre.com/T/ ) [x] N2(+): do NOT enable SD UHS mode, which cause next-reboot u-boot to not be able to use SD (vo…

Description These patches exist on rockchip-5.18, but not on rockchip64-5.18. Patches that are part of LibreELEC patchset are dropped. Rest of the patches adjusted to apply cleanly. The only patch that gave me trouble was rk356x-vop2-support.patch due to multiple concurrent changes to dw_hdmi-rockchip.c. Description This PR adds some configuration bits for a new CSC configuration for generic rk3318 tv boxes. rk3318 is the cheap and lost sibling of rk3328, no documentation is available and my opinion is a scrap product; nonetheless it has the same features and has been apparently sold only to tv box manufacturers. The provided device tree is generic enough to work with rk3328 tv boxes too. A set of patches that introduce several device tree overlays is provided, so users can enable the overlays at runtime as needed manually or with the help of a simple script (rk3318-config) that does some autodection. What is the purpose of this? The purpose of this CSC is to give to r…

Description Sorry for uplifting the discussion again around the PWM patch for rockchip64 again, but I did some further tests and I'm not convinced. The patch rk3568-pwm-rockchip.patch looks like a copy-paste patch from rockchip v5.10 kernel and I can't find it on patchwork.kernel.org patches, so I guess it is not suitable for mainline. There is some weird behaviour I'm experiencing. My test board is the rk3318 tvbox, but this is not a cons; instead this is a pro and I'm going to explain why: these tvboxes lacks proper voltage regulator chips (like rk805 or rk808) and instead heavily relies on PWM to do power regulation for CPU and Logic planes. When PWM goes nuts, the bo…

Description After some inspections related to pwm patch recently introduced and reverted on v5.18 kernel patchset (see https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/3928), it turned out that some boards (OrangePI 4/LTS, Tinkerboard 2) use a pinctrl configuration name active which is inherited from legacy kernel. Mainline kernel does not use such pinctrl configuration name, but wants default. This effect of this misnaming is an increased voltage supplied to "vdd_log" regulator and an increased power consumption since the configuration active is just ignored on mainline kernel. Power consumption has been tested using a regular multimeter, on my OrangePI 4 LTS board, and with the …

Description I have these minor patches pending on a repository of mine for rockchip64, I would like to merge them to, later with another PR, commit a CSC configuration for rk3318 tvbox. Anyway these patches are generic and can be more or less useful: make timer and GPIO led triggers built-in like others enable brcmfmac for rockchip64 legacy kernel DDR_BLOB variable can be now specified in board configuration per-board otherwise the default is used. I noticed this was already in use for rockpi-4a and 4b board configs, but probably went missing when BOOT_SCENARIOs were introduced? Document the BOOT_SCENARIO options, with little in-line bash comments Add tpl-blob-atf-main…

Description A recent rk356x patch changed part of pwm-rockchip.c file; in particular it adds a mandatory "active" pinctrl state, which is not expected for existing PWM users for all rockchip64 family chips (notably px30, rk3328 and rk3399) where PWM is in use and "active" pinctrl name is not provided. In case PWM is used as modulator for some voltage regulation, may break opp and devfreq framework (in my particular case, a tv box, made cpu unable to do frequency scaling and prevented lima driver to be correctly setup). This patch makes the "active" pinctrl state optional on v5.18 edge kernel for rockchip64. How Has This Been Tested? [x] Built kernel deb packages succe…

WaveShare Touchscreen Driver Fix (Odroid) Description A number of other WaveShare screens also use ID: 0eef:0005 and therefore the patch used to enforce the VU7 driver breaks these other screens. This was the purpose of the "disable_vu7" env boot param which correctly defaults to true. However, this is ignored in boot.cmd + the patches for the kernel reverse the changes made by Hardkernel to fix this problem. I have corrected the problem by removing 0eef:0005 from the driver enforced ignore_list and changed boot.cmd to allow the "disable_vu7" to function correctly (adding usbhid quirk when set to false). Description This PR adds support for kernel 5.15 and 5.17 for Orange Pi 4 LTS board. Work is mostly based upon existing Orange Pi 4 device tree and code. The LTS board differs from the ancestor because uses Spreadtrum/Unisoc uwe5622 wifi/bluetooth chip and es8316c sound codec. uwe5622 wifi patches have been brought in from allwinner family patches and enabled via kernel config modifications. Some other minor fixes have been brought in to avoid kernel warnings or trivial errors. Wifi part is working, bluetooth part is not yet ready because the kernel driver crashes and thus has been disabled. The Unisoc driver is suboptimal since it is not very compliant against kernel gu…
