Odroid HC2 boot failure bullseye_current_5.4.218 Oct 27, 2022

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was unable to boot the latest flavor of armbian for odroid xu4 (Armbian_22.08.7_Odroidxu4_bullseye_current_5.4.218_minimal.img). My Odroid HC2 card shuts down quickly and no ssh connection is possible.

The card stays on if the network cable is physically disconnected but stops immediately when reconnected.
The /etc/default/armbian-motd configuration file seems to be at fault?

it should contain something like this :
PRIMARY_INTERFACE="$(ls -1 /sys/class/net/ | grep -v lo | egrep "enp|eth|enx" | head -1)"

maybe not :

PRIMARY_INTERFACE="$(ls -1 /sys/class/net/ | grep -v lo | egrep "en|eth ...

I finally took an older image file, as I didn't have much more time to work on it (Armbian_22.05.4_Odroidxu4_bullseye_current_5.4.199.img)
