I got my PineH6(4) prototype board together with my clusterboard package now, there is also a datasheet available now for AXP805...

Just spotted it on Aliexpress today...

It will probably be months (years?) of software problems before a decent Linux distro works on it, but I ordered one anyway

I thought the same but I've managed to contain my impulse buying instincts... for the moment...

Assuming different versions are just around the corner, I'll wait and see all the variations of specs before purchasing.

... or not. Merged here and renamed this thread to include "Orange Pi One Plus" in the title.

Orange Pi Lite2 H6 is now available on aliexpress for $25 + shipping.

Any word on something like orange pi pc3 (lan and usb3)

More important question - anyone know when a Linux boot image will be available for the OrangePi H6 boards?

Icenowy had submit several patches for H6 on liunux-sunxi ML, so I presume we will benefit from those sooner or later...

I received my Orange Pi One Plus (H6) yesterday. I tried the Android img provided by OrangePi.org. It doesn't boot and just sits there with no output on TTY nor HDMI. The board is drawing a constant current of 90mA and doesn't appear to work. Anyone seen this or have any suggestions?

I had some problem with DRAM init on my Pine H6 prototype... do you have  a serial console log? Did you try to build a Linux image with the old 4.4.x BSP?

I haven't tried to build a Linux image. There is no serial output with the Android image I tried. Can you share a Linux image for me to test?

I had to plug in the micro usb along with the 2a power supply, but it booted

internet doesn't work at all on the image though, ethernet or wifi.  haven't had a chance to look at why yet

ok this img is so intentionally messed up it's beyond all repair, skip it not worth any time or effort

their idea of a "guest user" is terrifying

For my the same situation. Did anyone manage to get it to work? Where can I get a booting image at least to verify the board is working?

I sent a complaint through AliExpress and Steven Zhou (director of Xunlong) responded that I needed to use his special microsd image burning tool. The tool he directed me to use is supposedly the only way to get Android images onto microsd cards for the board. I downloaded the tool on my Windows 10 laptop and it doesn't even run. I told him this and now he tells me to run the program in a VirtualBox running Windows inside of Linux. I asked if I could use a beta copy of Linux and he said he would not provide one. Basically SOL

I was able to install Andoird using the "Toolschain" PhenixCard.rar - http://www.orangepi.org/downloadresources/

make sure the SD card is cleaned using Diskpart (for windows)

If you cannot figure it out, it's similar to the Pi PC  -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RFhCWmGomE

BTW, the android image is pretty bad.

The PhoenixCard tool is the one I was referring to. When I run it, it makes the cursor change to "busy" for one second and then nothing. Is there some secret to install/run it besides unpacking the archive into a directory?

Oh, it's not too hard but there are no instructions really, should be the same for all H6 boards for windows (not 100% sure about wifi):

1. Download PhoenixCard 4.1.2 (3 might work but 4 works better)
2. Download the image for your device http://www.orangepi.org/downloadresources/
3. Use PhoenixCard in StartUp mode to burn the image to a microSD (class 10 or higher recommended https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/choices/speed_class/img/video_speed class_01.jpg)
4. Insert and boot.

Now you can do stuff to it:

1. Enable USB0 device mode in Settings->Developer Options
2. Install ADB (there's lots of ways but this will make it easy https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979)
3. Download the AFWall+ apk from github (https://github.com/ukanth/afwall/releases)
4. Open a command window and type "adb install pathto/AFWall.version.apk"
5. Download the Zidoo H6 Pro 1.0.10 OTA zip from https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-stick--console-computers/allwinner/zidoo-h6-pro-android-7-0-allwinner-h6-2-t3682338
6. Open a command window and type "adb push pathto/ZIDOO_H6_Pro_20170930_v1.0.10_ota.zip /sdcard"
7. Type "adb reboot recovery"
8. MAKE SURE YOUR BOARD IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET (If you have an ethernet connection make sure it is unplugged, if you have wifi make sure it doesn't connect to the internet)
9. Choose "Apply update from Internal" and select ZIDOO_H6_Pro_20170930_v1.0.10_ota.zip (this will take a while but be patient and it will eventually reboot)
10. You should now be booted into the Zidoo launcher, you should first open AFWall+ and set it to blacklist mode, then select the item that includes "Input Devices" in the description and enable the firewall from the settings.
11. You can now connect to the internet and sign into google.
12. Download SuperSU from google play or install it from adb.
13. Open SuperSU and update binaries using the normal method.

Congrats, you have rooted android with play services

Unfortunately the rom forces the ui to hide itself systemwide so you have to drag from the top or bottom to access notifications and navigation.  If you want to use your pi as more of a tablet this can get annoying and if anyone has a fix i'd love to hear it but Zidoo certainly isn't in a hurry to change anything for us pi users.

My OPi one+ arrived. I burned the ubuntu image with etcher and it worked fine. I had to manually resize the fs but you expect a few rough edges with a new board.

The bare board runs on the hot side, idling at a reported (but unconfirmed) 48C. Benchmarks quickly push it into throttling at 70C, but even so it is faster (just) than any of my other 4 core boards. I'll add a heatsink and fan and see if I can get the temps under control. If so, and if the board remains reliable it seems like excellent value for money. The H6 looks very promising.

@tkaiser Memory test you requested on OPi one+ board: https://pastebin.com/ubszDSUH

Temperature peaked at 53C during the test, so should have stayed well clear of any throttling. I added heatsinks this morning

... and here are the openssl/7z tests: https://pastebin.com/huSB5LhC

@tkaiser updated results with the performance governor: https://pastebin.com/pUR5D7AA

You were right, it makes a big difference to the openssl results at the smaller block sizes.

The board has passive heatsinks only at the moment, fan is still to be added. I saw some temperatures in the high 60s during these runs, so it's possible/likely that some throttling still occurred.

Re-run tests with performance governor instead of ondemand

Does anyone have the pin mappings for the gpio header on the One Plus? At the moment I'm a bit stumped both on what might be connected to each pin, and how to control them. I guess the sensible thing is to just wait for the dust to settle...

Hi~~

I've done on my opi lite2.

I've got the same message every second (Activation information bla~~ bla~~ Authentication failure uuid )

Is there any way to stop that message?

Yees, you have to block "input devices" with AFWall+

It's part of a package so look for a long list of things that contains "Input Devices"

I wish i could tell you more but I blew up my opi and im waiting on a new one

I've already blocked it.

but message keeps coming

I've added ip(127.0.0.1 auth.zidoo.tv) to hosts file

But still useless

hmm.. when i get mine i'll try and figure out another workaround, also working on my own build with su preinstalled.
