After installing Armbian 5.59 I have problems with sound. When I install the distribution with the 4.14.69 kernel, I have an intermittent sound. When with 4.18.7 sound is missing. How can I fix it? Is it possible to change the kernel? If so, please follow the instructions step by step.

Hmmm, I'm catching up on what was more or less an extended absence, I'll have to add this to the list.  It will be a kernel driver issue if it's anything.

Is there any new information about sound drivers?

The sound on these boards is thanks to a set of patches by @JeromeB as part of the work on the Amlogic SoC's.  I have not spent enough time with 4.18/4.19 to know what is going on there exactly, I have, however, updated patches recently to match the current recipes by BayLibre, I think sound may be available now (as of 4.18.16).  I don't know if any build has taken place since then, but the kernel has other issues, so it may not be wise to change yet.
