  2. Before this I used to connect my APM 2.8.4 Flight controller to a Raspberry PI on Ground, Pin 8 and Pin 10. Today I tried to connect it to my orange pi zero plus2 H3. Pin 9, Pin 8 and Pin 10. On armbian-config toggle UART2. When i tried to connect to it using cat /dev/ttyS2 nothing came out. Once a while sent out some gibberish. I set the correct buadrate at 57600 and 91600 to no available. But I know the settings are correct because when I connect using USB through /dev/ttyACM0 it works. I tried ttyS1 and ttyS3 nothing came out of it. On Raspberry I had done this many times just by turning on the Serial Connection using …

I'm trying to do this through the device tree: /dts-v1/; /plugin/; / { compatible = "allwinner,sun8i-h3"; fragment@0 { target = <&pio>; __overlay__ { pinctrl-0 = <&pull_pins>; pull_pins:pull_pins { pins = "PA6"; function = "gpio_out"; bias-disable; output-low; }; }; }; }; I need to set PA6 to low. After boot, I see my overlay in device tree, but the level on the PA6 is still high. I can easily control the level through libgpiod (gpioset gpiochip0 6=1 or gpioset gpiochip0 6=0), it works. For the setting the MTU-Size i edited /etc/network/interfaces and added the value "mtu 9000" -> no effects I tried set the MTU over the OMV WebGUI under network settings -> no effects. ifconfig shows me MTU=1500 Booth ways was at Debian Wheezy possible. 9. An interesting fact (at least from what I can tell), the NanoPi Duo (v1.0 and v 1.1) has no builtin PUDs. Checking http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/images/8/8a/Schematic_NanoPi_Duo-v1.1.pdf and I see no PUDs on the GPIO schematic. Is this true? Is the Orange Pi Zero the same way?

  31. Platform oPi Plus 2E with Armbian 5.31 (Legacy). I have configured a WiFi adaptor, and it works fine in connecting to an existing hotspot. When I attempt to use network manager applet (or nm-connection-editor/nmtui from a root prompt) to create an Ad-hoc network I am getting permissions errors. For NM TUI it is 'Unable to save connection: Insufficient privileges.', and similar for the other methods. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to diagnose and/or fix this? From the research I have done the nm-applet error is likely a simple config error (not set up to run as root for this function), but the other avenues failures seem odd.

  32. Hello Armbian community, Firstly, thank you for the amazing work that you do. Having Armbian has made the setup process so simple, and I really appreciate that I'm completely new to the world of SBCs and Armbian (but not Linux), and this issue had me stumped for a long time. I wanted to share the solution for those who are in the same position as me, as I only found this on Raspberry Pi resources. 40. What is the max current that the Orange Pi Plus (or other boards) can output for USB devices? Assume there is a high quality 3A power supply. For example, on Raspberry Pi it is documented here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/help/faqs/#powerReqs Note that the output amount is configurable on RPi (you must manually enable 1.2A output) - is there anything similar for OPi? Here is what needs to be changed in the boot config on an Rpi to change the power from 6mA to 1.2A: http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#USB_Power Thank you!

Hi, Firstly I wanted to say thanks for providing builds for the Cubietruck, however unsupported they are. Current build is working after I fixed up the repository and the wired network configuration - learnt a fair amount in one afternoon! Secondly, is it possible using armbian-config to switch to stable repository and a stable kernel and reasonably expect it to still work? Many thanks,

I'm using 14.04, and vanilla kernel on A20, followed the documentation for distro upgrade, but it's in endless loop: Calculating the changes Error authenticating some packages It was not possible to authenticate some packages. This may be a transient network problem. You may want to try again later. See below for a list of unauthenticated packages. module-init-tools Restoring original system state After this appears, the whole dist upgrade process restarts, and ends with the same error.

  55. Hi all. I have been doing some interesting reading here. Thank you that you started this project. I saw it already in 2014 I think when I bought my Pcduino 3 Version A but I wasn't sure back there if this project was for real. The reason why I bought Pcduino3 in the first place was an idea of a media client/server so I could hook it up to my TV and watch youtube and or Netflix and maybe have a little ftpserver on it so I can transfer my favorite tv shows to it (I currently live in germany but I do not speak/understand it fluently and all tv channels here and in german ) and watch them comfortably on the sofa (my back hurts if I sit too long by PC), and a smal…

  56. Hi, I'd like to use kvm on the Orange Pi PC2, but the Armbian 4.14.12-sunxi64 kernel doesn't seem to enable it (or possibly the boot loader doesn't put the CPU in the right mode?). If I google: allwinner h5 kvm then the first hit shows a kernel boot log which shows kvm enabled on an Orange Pi PC2, so it looks like it's possible. I'm happy to recompile the kernel myself, but wanted to know if there were any gotchas that might mean this is disabled by default on purpose? Cheers, Tim.

Hi all, I've come upon a weird thing and I wanted to verify that I don't so something wrong. I've build a custom kernel module which is a PWM led device with an SPI interface. If I use the spidev, then everything works fine and I'm able to control the led. But when I'm using a custom device-tree and load the module then when I'm calling the `spi_write()` function then I'm getting an error (-22). The external device is actually an arduino nano that implements an I2C IIO light measurement device, using a dual light dependent resistor. Also I'm using the SPI channel to drive a led using PWM. It's very straight-forward a…

Good morning, I am having some problems with the i2c-1 bus, as it sometimes gets stuck even though I have external pull-up resistors. I need to be able to reset the bus to fix it and check the status of the channels, but I don’t know which Linux GPIO corresponds to the physical pins that the kernel associates with PA18 and PA19. I have tried using wiringPi, but it doesn’t indicate this. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

  65. Until the day Armbian can auto-configure HDMI output (with respect to a TV or DVI computer monitor), the thought occurred to me that the Beelink X2 defaults to Android KitKat 4.x, and from there maybe it's possible to plug in the TF card that you'll be rebooting into, then access the card from Android to makes changes, like: h3disp -m 720p60 -d If a DVI-monitor is expected to boot into. I was even brushing up on MIT App Inventor to make presets from Android side, but my skills drop off sharply at that point. The practical reason for his, is not only to show the neighbors but also have a media player anywhere there's a screen. In conclusion, I don't know what m…

  81. Hi everybody, I recently purchased a Orange Pi Zero since I needed a tiny board, and after setting it up I noticed that the resolution didn't fit properly in a portable TV I was using. Doing some research (I'm a complete newbie), I found the command "h3disp" ot change resolution on Armbian for H2+ and H3 boards, so I gave it a try. Now it's completely black and no signal on AV IN. Thanks to a post in this site, I noticed that every command in h3disp was for HDMI outputs and that doesn't fit Orange Pi Zero since it supports PAL and NTSC only, so now after changing between 480i and 576i doesn't seem to be showing anything at all. I was wondering if I could restore…
