Description This PR fixes EXTRAWIFI=no compilation when uwe5622 driver and rockchip64 family is involved. The error was due to the fact that uwe5622 driver has been moved in misc patch directory some time ago, but a custom patch was left into family kernel patches to adapt the driver to rockchip64 platform. EXTRAWIFI=no would not patch the kernel to include the driver, but the custom patch was still applied since it was present as kernel patch and that would cause a failure. With this PR, the custom rockchip patch has been moved into misc directory as well and it is applied selectively in code, so EXTRAWIFI=no works correctly. Also uwe5622 related patches are moved into…

0xC0FFEE’s RP2040 PHAT is both a Raspberry Pi RP2040 development board and a pHAT for Raspberry Pi and Pi Zero Linux SBCs that exposes the I/Os through the 40-pin GPIO header traditionally found in Raspberry Pi single board computers. The board comes with all features of the Raspberry Pi Pico board including a USB port for power and programming, an SPI flash, and a BOOT button, but also adds a Reset button. That means it’s software compatible, except for the user LED connected to GPIO 26, and works with the MicroPython and C SDKs, as well as the Arduino IDE, Zephyr RTOS, and more. Description The idea is to generate output/git_sources.json file that will contain url, branch and commit hash combo. The easiest way to generate file for all devices is to run ./compile.sh targets. Then at the time of release we will copy the output/info/git_sources.json file to config/sources/git_sources.json. Once the file is copied, the hash information from the file will be used to fetch resources for git repositories where branches are specified instead of tags or commits. There can be other ways to do this as well. I am just too tired to experiment more on the same. Raising it to be a communication starter. Jira reference number AR-2087 Based on: https://github.c…

http://blog.armbian.com/content/images/2025/11/armbian_safe-operating.pngSingle Board Computers (SBCs) like the Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, and Rockchip-based boards pack impressive computing power into compact designs but with that power comes heat. Keeping temperatures within a safe range is critical for performance, stability, and longevity. Most SBCs are designed to operate safely between 0°C and 80°C (32°F to 176°F), though the ideal range depends on the processor and workload. For example, ARM-based chips such as the RK3588 or Broadcom BCM2711 typically idle between 35°C and 50°C, and can safely run under sustained loads up to 70°C-75°C. Once the temperature reaches ar…

Description This PR adds some configuration bits for a new CSC configuration for generic rk3318 tv boxes. rk3318 is the cheap and lost sibling of rk3328, no documentation is available and my opinion is a scrap product; nonetheless it has the same features and has been apparently sold only to tv box manufacturers. The provided device tree is generic enough to work with rk3328 tv boxes too. A set of patches that introduce several device tree overlays is provided, so users can enable the overlays at runtime as needed manually or with the help of a simple script (rk3318-config) that does some autodection. What is the purpose of this? The purpose of this CSC is to give to r…

Arduino was already involved in LoRaWAN with its MKR WAN 1300 board, but now the company has started offering Arduino-branded Wisgate Edge Pro and Wisgate Edge Lite 2 LoRaWAN gateways for respectively outdoor and indoor environments as part of the Arduino Pro family. If the names of the gateways seem familiar, it’s because Arduino collaborated with Rakwireless, and is simply using their existing LoRaWAN gateways. As I understand it RAKwireless will provide the hardware and technical support, while Arduino will sell the gateways and other LoRaWAN hardware through its existing customer base, more acting as a distributor. Arduino WisGate Edge Lite 2 indoor gateway specificat…

Description As specified in PR https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/5967, there was a nasty mistake in rockchip and rk322x source files that were attempting to create two groups (gpio and i2c) on the building host instead of the built image. This caused the build system to crash when the groups were already present on the building host, which is totally not desiderable, and the intended feature was also broken. After some inspection, the groups were leveraged by a couple of udev rules to allow non-root users have access to gpio and i2c resources out of the box. This PR fixes the group creation on the target built image. Note: gpio and i2c gids starts from 900 because g…

Dear Armbians, Armbian point releases are times when our entire team works diligently to stabilize our highly complex ecosystem. We understand that, despite our best efforts, there will always be some issues that may not work perfectly. We estimate that resolving bugs and adding new features for each release takes thousands of hours to be completed. This is what the Armbian and its community contributes on top of the vanilla Linux code, which is aggregated at common points, usually referred to as mainline. The code, contributed by many individuals, is intended to be stable. However, given the complexity of the Linux kernel and its maintenance by a diverse group of people…

ITEAD has just introduced the SONOFF Zigbee Bridge Pro WiFi <-> Zigbee gateway as an upgrade to the Sonoff ZBBridge gateway launched in 2020. Both devices look exactly the same, and the changes are under the hood with the EFR32MG21 and ESP8266/ESP8285 combo being replaced by Texas Instruments SimpleLink CC2652P and ESP32 chips to boost the number of supported sub-devices from 32 to 128. Other changes include the addition of a buzzer acting as an alarm or doorbell chime, as well as a “built-in high-precision local RTC” for gateway time synchronization of local scene schedules. Description The user idubrov reported on forums and discord that the current and edge images are not bootable from sdcard as mmc driver fails to probe due to regulator not being available. This is a regression that happened due to switching from bigtreetech provided axp313a driver to mainline axp313a driver. Updating regulator node name in dts apparently makes it work with the upstream driver as tested by the user. I have also noticed that CI was not covering current and edge kernel for this board. I have enabled the same to make sure we will be aware of such issues in the future. How Has This Been Tested? Please describe the tests that you ran to verify your changes. P…

This PR enables kernel modules for various USB Gadget applications for rockchip 32 bit platforms (rk322x, rk3288) for both current 6.6 and edge 6.7 kernels. Also provides a bunch of patches to address issues with rk322x, whose peripheral mode does not really well with dwc2 driver yet. A couple of patches are self-produced after trial-and-error sessions, another pair are imported from rockchip 5.10 kernel and substitutes an older patch with a bit more refined code (see the "debounce" patch). edit: the patches addressing the rk322x issues probably are worth also for rk3318 and rk3328, since the controller is the very same with similar issues. During my tests, I quickly ch…
