  46. Description rk322x has long been integrated into the rockchip family in this PR: https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/6092 Remove some leftovers in the repo, like the old kernel patch folders which are not in use anymore. @paolosabatino You may have a look at the hardware-optimization script. The tweaks for rk322x do not apply since the BOARDFAMILY does not exist anymore. If you'd like to rather integrate those optimizations in some other way (e.g. integrate them into the rockchip hardware optimizations), feel free to change it :) Also, please double check if packages/bsp/rk322x/50-rkvdec.rules is not used anymore. 47. Description This PR is part of the big repo cleanup ✨ I tried to find references for the old toolchains. The only reference I could find that was actively using an external toolchain in meson-s4t7. There I have bumped the compiler from 7.3.1 to 7.4.1. A 2019 compiler seems like a good fit to compile a 2019 u-boot :) @viraniac Other than that, I found only this: https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/560993ac7aff4aafc94c8533b8d84eda73b4d656/lib/functions/host/external-toolchains.sh#L26-L37 I have kept every torrent that is referenced in that list, apart from the first few ones which are 10+ years old now and would probably not really work well on a modern machine anyway.…

  50. Description This set of changes tries to handle the requirement of reducing cache misses by removing the REVISION prefix from the tag of the OCI cache. It works by making use of a tag that doesn't include the version prefix. Once the artifact is fetched, if the filename is not what we expect, then the file is renamed to the expected file name. This can be required in cases when REVISION is bumped but no changes are done for the artifact. In that case, for example, we might be looking for a artifact with version 23.08.1-trunk prefix while the artifact thats available and is identical to the needed artifact might have version starting with 23.08.0-trunk. Only the OCI tags …

  55. Description Hi. mvebu has been moved to csc some time ago. Now every once in a while a patch breaks and we have to remove it / fix it. Russel King keeps a pretty up to date kernel tree for clearfog over at http://git.armlinux.org.uk/cgit/linux-arm.git/log/?h=clearfog So I tried to move our mvebu-edge to be based on his work. This allows us to include lots of mvebu patches without the need to maintain them. I would like to discuss the advantages and disadvantages with you! Also this is some movement to finally get the helios4 pwm patch mainlined over at the linux-pwm/gpio/kernel mailing list. Jira reference number AR-2015 How Has This Been Tested? Ran kernel build. 57. Description Please note that this PR does not merge to main, but to another branch for collaboration. This is a continuation of v2: https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/6800 @pyavitz has already done a nice job in v1 and v2 of this PR. Based on this work, I have put a lot of effort in trying to bring this new board family more in line with existing families as well as trying to improve maintainability for the long term. Another concern with v2 was the sheer size of the PR (~55MB which amounts to almost 10% of the repo or ~2.4 million LOC which amounts to over 50% of the current repo). v3 brings down this size considerably, to a more sane number: v2 v3 Shrinkage …

Description I'm sorry, I have created a monster 🧌 But this happens when you create a monster by embedding dependency versions inside shell script files 😅 This workflow is carefully crafted though and works surprisingly well imo :) Some of our scripts download tools from a repo. These can't be bumped by dependabot, so this workflow is a self-created dependabot to bump versions of those tools to stay up-to-date. This workflow only creates a PR if the version was actually updated. Tools currently supported: Shellcheck (in 2 different files) Shellfmt oci-oras Bat This will only run once a month since the tools we use are usually not updated frequently. Maybe every two …
