  50. Description Bump 32-bit kernel to 6.3.8. I didn't bumped it for 64-bit sunxi devices as drv-rgb-add-ws2812.patch introduced in #5267 makes use of of_get_named_gpio_flags function which is removed in 6.3. As I don't have a Bigtreetech cb1, I am not comfortable modifying code to fix this patch. The kernel module added by drv-rgb-add-ws2812.patch is not enabled for 32-bit devices and hence it doesn't cause compilation issues on 32-bit sunxi kernel. Excluding drv-rgb-add-ws2812.patch, I have updated any patch that was broken, and have disabled patches where changes were present upstream. Also disabled same rockchip related patches that I disabled in #5326 How Has This Been …

  63. Description As mentioned here: https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/6810#issuecomment-2194178735 Out of date blobs can be an issue if the vendor ships boards with new blobs, as recently seen for FriendlyElec with the NanoPC T6 for example. 84. Description Move tv-box based rk3318-box and rk322x-box target to use u-boot v2024.07-rc5 from v2024.01, mostly for experimentation and also because v2024.07 contains some fixes for rockchip devices explained in this previous PR: https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/6731, in particular we can leverage uboot relocation for rockchip 64 bit devices and rk3328 hdmi/vop/phy drivers are now mainlined. This PR also rework hdmi/vop/phy patches for rk322x and fixes usb issues on rk3318-box The changes does not affect any other board, since none of them actually use v2024.07 of uboot (at the moment of writing the comment, it is still in RC5). The v2024.07 patch directory has bee…

  86. Description also bump: rk3288 xt-q8l-v10 target rk322x-box target (was already v2024.07-rc5) rk3318-box target (was already v2024.07-rc5) rk322x-box and rk3318-box were already at v2024.07, since u-boot v2024.07 has been released some days ago, they have been moved from rc5 to release (see https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/6855) Asus Tinkerboard/S and xt-q8l-v10, which are both rk3288 targets, have been bumped from v2022.04 to v2024.07, trying to keep all the features working. I guess now the workaround cited here could be removed as well. GitHub issue reference: Jira reference number AR-2406 How Has This Been Tested? [x] Built image for both rk3288 targets su…

  89. Description As per subject, bump rockchip 32 bit edge kernel to 6.9. Patches have been left as is because all of them applied fine, except for the device tree overlay compilation and installation. The device tree things have changed in 6.9 and the patch does not apply anymore. After some headeaches with the terrible makefiles, the second commit of this PR contains some hints on how I did the job and can serve as a icebreaker for other families perhaps. In particular: Some little accomodations in the overlay Makefile. the kernel makefile already supports dtbo files, but it wants the sources with .dtso extension, so all the device trees in overlay directory must be rena…

  94. Description Bump rockchip64 edge kernel to v6.10. Includes the rk3328 gpio2 bank fix from https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/6974 Minor changes have been needed to bring patches from 6.9 to 6.10 (notably, very small rework of the overlay compilation). @brentr rk3308 now has a mainline audio codec driver. It breaks several patches that previously introduced a driver and manipulated it to "sync with BSP" and convert to "component". This commit contains all the modifications I did to allow the kernel to compile cleanly, but the result may not provide working audio or may not provide the same functionalities as before, hence rk3308 audio section requires some more separa…
