Description The current script can overwrite drivers which are set as built-in in the board-specific config. This is not desirable. Add a check to ensure we do not convert built-in stuff into modules. First encountered it when pocketbeagle 2 kernels was enabling EXT4 as module instead of being built-in, which makes the current rootfs (using ext4) fail to run. How Has This Been Tested? Description The board has mainline kernel and u-boot support for almost 3 years now but Armbian doesn't build images for it. Add basic build config for this board with Wi-Fi extension enabled. Based on orangepizero2.conf X96 mate is H616-powered TV Box with the same Wi-Fi/BT chip as OPiZ2 (AW859A). Mainline DT is missing Wi-Fi node and some regulators are disabled, but PR is on its way. Description The uwe5622 driver has been moved from allwinner directories into patch/misc directory with this previous pull request With this pull request, rockchip64 family will share the base patch in misc and provides an additional, small patch to fix specific compatibility for rockchip. Ideally this minor patch would be integrated in the big driver in patch/misc, but it is not trivial task and would then require extensive tests on allwinner platform. The pull request also provides a patch to the driver to let it compile and work on kernel v6.1, and also patches the rockchip64-edge kernel config. At last, it fixes a memcpy fat kernel warning about field-spanning memo…

Description This PR follows the discussion of the previous PR about introducing LibreELEC patches into rockchip64 family patch tree. There is no Jira reference number yet, since this is yet a proposal. If there is general consensus, a ticket will be opened and linked here. As like as @AdamLantos did, I first let LibreELEC patches apply and then armbian ones, so if an armbian patch clashes, I remove it and keep the libreelec variant. This is so because LibreELEC patches usually are already queued for being upstreamed into mainline kernel and then downloaded from https://patchwork.kernel.org This time, following the requests coming from the previous PR, LibreELEC patches…

Description Added the necessary parts to create linux-libc-dev packages when creating armbian images. This functionality was not added to the new build system but worked just fine up until v23.02. In my opinion linux-libc-dev should always be created when building an armbian kernel as the kernel versions often differ greatly from the ones natively in the distros (eg. debian bookworm: 6.1.76 vs. armbian current 6.6.21). Also the armbian package source previously included the package but does not anymore, so the latest updates available were 23.02.2. Complete Desktop updates for bookworm. This update follows the debian approach of desktops following the task-(desktopname)-desktop install . I also had to split the skel for each desktop to keep installs cleaner as only the files for that desktop get installed and not files for other desktops not in use on the build. skel.all skel.(desktopname). I have done a complete update to the appsgroups and we moved printing and filesharing support to the appgroups to make things cleaaner in the long run. a few new appgroupds added and apps added and removed. everything done . was done with feedback from users. removed linked dir for bookworm under desktops put new bookworm desktops into place put new skel files into place for themeing of desktops pre how Igor wants desktops themed added new desktops to the armbian.firstlogin script so new desktops are supported. I took out any duplicate files and shrunk it down to 1 cairo-doc dir in the skel.all dir users can add their file managers to the cairo if they want to. Cinnamon/gnome/icemw/lxde/lxqt/mate/xfce desktops. I fallowed the task-(desktop)-desktop install debian now uses installing all proper files the desktops require . I have run test builds on current desktop and they all build correctly. View the full article

I moved the new skel dir's to a sud dir of debian-skel. I removed gnome-builder, freecad and the launch-bars from the app groups. leaving it to the user to add these part . this shold bring images back downin size. Printing and filesharing moveed to app-groups like the debian community said it shouldbe. To make it cleaner smaller base desktop install. as filesharing and printing are optional addons if you want web-dev removed I will but I know alot who want the tools to dev and test web pages. Fixes to correctly create a GPT partition table with fat boot partition and ext4 rootfs partition. fix1: mkfs interprets command line parameters differently when the partition table is of GPT type. fix2: some unset parameters were imported into command lines. In case of unset they now are set empty so that no ambiguity exists as what bash does with it. fix3: mounting of the boot fs loop is helped by hints about the partition being vfat type. fix4: filling of the boot fs at the mount point had wrong reference to the boot folder to be rsync-ed. Tested on a Rock 3A board (rk3568 SoC), written to eMMC memory. OS boots, parted indicates proper OS partition and file system str…

Disables the use of the obiabf repository by default. Using these packages by default regularly causes problems. The background does not work, the DE does not start, etc. testing has shown that the current version of mesa works fine and does not create problems with all DE. Users who need this experimental version can enable and use it themselves. View the full article

Description Code for ssv6051 wifi driver sometimes set RX_ENC_xxx flags in the 'flag' field in the ieee80211_rx_status object. These flags belong in the 'enc_flags' field. Setting them in 'flag' clashed with the RXX_FLAG_MMIC_ERROR bit, and caused the supplicant to report a spurious michael mic error and close the connection. How Has This Been Tested? Hey, I started bumping to 6.15(-rc1) thinking it was gonna be easy. As always, it.. wasn't. So here's a branch on the upstream and a draft PR so we can maybe coordinate who can work on what. As-is, the branch disables EXTRAWIFI and predatorily drops patches until things build. All the commits marked HACK must be dropped and replaced with actual fixes. We could this per-family, but the wifi drivers question is common to mostly all. [x] meson64: mostly clean, @pyavitz already rebased the patch that needed it, thanks [x] uefi-arm64: clean [ ] rockchip64: large number of landed patches, large number of non-applying patches [ ] wifi drivers: mostly all broken [ ] rockchip64:…
