  1. I know that mainline kernel now is 4.14, and now is experimental for A64.. I have tried build my own armbian form Orangepi Win Plus. Kernel 4.14 does not recognize audio and LAN. Question. Is it possible to build Armbian 5.51 with old kernel 3.10 for that device ( Ubuntu 18.04). Old kernel works much better with devices A64 cpu. I know that is old......but mayby not so experimental.....

Worked as Nextcloud headless server like a charm for more than year (thanks Armbian once again), but suddenly got stuck in boot with quite strange simptoms (read on attacched for exploration HDMI): couple of "sunxi_i2c_do_xfer incomplete xfer" errors /swap creation takes ~100 seconds then complete hang on Ethernet init The only thing I can suspect is some corruption in filesystem(s) on eMMC, but I see no chance to investigate this further as boot from it hangs completely. Fresh SD with mainline Debian boots and works with no issues, so the rest of the …

  16. Hey there, I have two questions and one of those may be pretty dumb, but anyway. What is the issue that the onboard network is disabled at the moment? The other question is about the tested 3rd party hardware which include various LAN and WLAN adapters. Have those indeed tested with the current experimental images and working? Or is the network support disabled in the current builds at all? Best regards Werner

There are various threads on the internet but would be interested which one the community uses / trusts, cause I am a bit hesitant on adding random repos. My use case: Stream mkv on local with subs or transcode if it can't show subs. Board: Orange Pi Pc OS: Debian Stretch on 4.14.18 Would appreciate any feedback even if it's only a link to your preferred software / guide.

  23. Hi, I just installed the Armbian_5.35_Orangepilite_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113_desktop.img on my 32GB SD card for my new OPi Lite. I have a NEC MultiSync LCD1830 that's optimal res is 1280 x 1024 at 60 Hz to 76 Hz so naturally I'm trying set this resolution. The monitor is connected to the Opi Lite via a VGA to HDMI adaptor. 29. Hey guys, first off, I'll make no bones about it... I'm an absolute noob. But I wanna learn! So I have the OPi PC and I purchased this 7" HDMI USB touch screen Now, I've plugged it all in and the screen worked fine right out of the box but the touch did not. I've verified it's working by plugging it into my desktop and everything worked great. I can only assume that it's not working due to a lack of drivers. The screen came with a CD that contained the screen drivers but not the touch drivers. It also came with a handful of RPi distros with the drivers preinstalled. But nothing for OPi Can anyone offer some suggestions?

  49. Hi friends, one question - this camera works with Orange Pi zero2Plus for me (mostly). But do I need to use always the green PCB with camera, or can I directly plug in the small black camera with its brown ribbon to Orange Pi? Should it work without green PCB or not? Many thanks.

Hi, I recently got a NanoPI NEO2 v1.0. I am able to load the Linux images using SD card and login using debug UART. But I am facing a strange issue where I need to disconnect USB power AND debug UART GND to switch off/on the board. I am using PL2303 UART module and connected the Tx, Rx and GND (verified using board diagram in wiki). Basically to completely reset the board, I also need to disconnect the UART GND. Is this expected? The LED is always on from beginning of boot till UART GND is disconnected (on even with USB power off). I have also verified that the board boots up only using UART 5V and without USB power, but I would to continue using U…

  53. Hi, I'm using Orange Pi 2E+ with 3.4 Multimedia kernel (intend on using Kodi) I have a DVI monitor I want to use, and a crappy HDMI > DVI adapter which for some reason doesn't let computers know that the DVI monitor is connected to their HDMI port Confirmed on 2 different computers. The adapter probably lacks the hotplug-detect pin because computers don't know there's a screen connected, but the screen will show an image if I force my laptop to send a video signal out it's HDMI port using xrandr. Is there a way (using .fex files or whatever) to make the kernel assume that there's a monitor with 1920x1080 resolution on the Orange Pi 2E's HDMI port? …

  60. I am making some testing over A20-SOM from Olimex. 89. Let's say I'm deploying hundreds of warehoused devices employing an H5-based Orange Pi Zero Plus, and I need a reliable distinct identifier for each. In another application we're using the MAC address, but that seems not to be EEPROM-ed on the OPiZ+. So what's a good low-cost (i.e. not by launching Perl scripts) way to obtain the unique CPU identifie…
