  2. I have problem with transmission-deamon on my CubieA20. It not starting listening on boot. Only after service restart. Met same problem on Raspberry-3 but it cured by enabling "boot to wait until a network connection is established" option. I checked the raspi-config and taken same measures on my A20 ("ExecStart=/sbin/dhcpcd -q -w" etc). Not succeeded! Anyone have alternate methods? There's some more applications that not starting on boot if connection not active, Blynk-client for ex. PS: I use legacy kernel on 5.25 Armbian. UPD: Problem resolved by editing /etc/network/interfaces.

I'm going to use MIPI DSI LCD with OrangePi Win. In default configuration MIPI DSI is disabled. I activated Samsung DSI panel in kernel configurator. But it seems it always compiles default configuration. I don't see mipi dsi in dmesg. And image size is always exactly same, doesn't matter make I change in configurator or not. So my question how to compile whole image with MIPI DSI support? Thank in advance!

  8. Hello After spending hours of trying to create an older DEV kernel (5.1.21) here are the following steps in order that it will work. I will describle here about the 5.1.21 kernel but I think it can work for any kernel. 1. create lib.config file under build/userpatches with the following: KERNELBRANCH='branch:orange-pi-5.1' 2. And this is what create the magic: download the Armbian files that matches that distribution and replace all the files in the build directory: for example I have downloaded from here - This link is the build version from the branch of the 5.1.: https://github.com/FireflyTeam/armbian-build/tree/e…

My problem is that the logs are full, and my necessary scripts stop working. If I constantly clear the logs manually, then the scripts work fine. I tried to configure the rotation in accordance with the instructions, it only works before the reboot, after the reboot, everything I fixed with the rotation changes the paths to /var/log.hdd/. Hello, Im using a Orange Pi Zero, running nginx with Nextcloud. Im noticing 99.99% usage on the IO reported by iotop, but disk read and disk write show 0%. Even a refresh on the homepage bumps it up to the top of the IO list. As far as I am informed... isn't kswapd0 supposed to deal with swap memory and go wild when I am about to run out of RAM? I have disabled (hopefully), my swap partition, but I am still getting this. I have commented out the swap line in fstab... htop reports 0KB SWAP. It doesn't seem that I am running out of memory. About 50% of it appears to be free all the time. I am really new to dev boards and such, but this didn't appea…

Hello everyone, As I was looking for to see the cause of not having any free memory left on this BananaPi, I found out that Clamav daemon is using all the free memory (44%), after stopping the service I could again see more free memory. Hi there, with Armbian Buster "OOB" (+update) I have following problem on Orange Pi 3: - Firefox (with language Polish) does not play network radio: https://www.rmfon.pl/play,25#p , - at the same time: - there are /dev/snd/ files, only for HDMI, but I have read that currently there is no driver for H6 audio, so I may expect at least ALSA is working, - VLC plays MP3 files correctly, (but it can play with pulse and ALSA), - pulseaudio is not started / configured / present. 56. Hi, I use BananaPro on Armbian Strech or Bionic, I try to use the GPIO python library (for bananapro from LeMaker github) gpio.add_event_detect() or GPIO.wait_for_edge(channel, GPIO.RISING) This usually disconnect my network and the event is never detected. I have to reboot the PI to restore the state. Also, a normal read/write state GPIO.input(PIN_NUM) works perfectly... I try this : https://forum.armbian.com/topic/3249-bananapi-m1-gpioadd_event_detect-not-working-after-switch-to-vanilla-kernel/ but not work. Hi, I have a orange pi one which I use as a test web server and everything was good so far, the first problem I came a cross that the couchbase server on debian package did'nt support arm, so I skipped that and used another computer as couchbase server, But the problem now is that I can't install the couchbase php client on the orange pi, then I tried the build the libcouchbase my self. I actually did build it (I have no previous experince with build) After I built it I don't know what to do, now I have libcouchbase.so file and other files but I can't still use couchbase php commands. 60. Hello everyone, I am encountering problem with pulseaudio on Bananapi M1. I don't want the board to suspend speakers on idle. As Pulseaudio is used I simply commented this line: ``` ### Automatically suspend sinks/sources that become idle for too long #load-module module-suspend-on-idle `` in `/etc/pulse/default.pa`. The problem is that if I play something e.g. raspotify I dont hear the sound anymore. As soon I keep raspotify playing and restart Pulseaudio (killall pulseaudio) the sound is back again. If I pause music I lose sound again and need to kill pulseaudio. Does anybody encounter same thing?

  94. Hello! For the Cubieboard 2 on the SD card I use the image Armbian_5.25_Cubieboard2_Debian_jessie_default_3.4.113.img. It is only loaded with U-boot v2015.10.rar. But this U-boot v2015.10 480 MHz DRAM. At this frequency, my Cubieboard 2 freezes. Can anyone build U-boot v2015.10 to 432 MHz DRAM? I will be very grateful. I'm not very good at Linux. I apologize for the bad english.

  95. Hi, Trying to setup audio mux on orange pi boards, for now trying to stick on orange pi ZERO & ONE ( both of them ). By mux, meaning will try to setup some peers which can play locally or stream sources they have. Let's say all peers have - x2 line in - x1 mic - x1 line out Want to dynamically connect any source to any output on any peer. For example after choosing, you can able to play line in of peer 1 on peer 1 output OR peer1 line in on peer 2 output And I think CD quality is more than enough. Trying to find any tools that will help to make this. Two solution points needed: - hardware: ?? as far as I can find, there is "line…

  96. Hello all, just new to here, I bought an Orangepi PC board and grabbed lastest Armbian pre-built image with legacy kernel. I test my code that dynamically change the HDMI output resolution, by something like this: ioctl(disp, DISP_BLANK, true) ioctl(disp, DISP_DEVICE_SWITCH) ioctl(disp, DISP_BLANK, false) and then update fbvar by ioctl(fb0, FBIOPUT_VSCREENINFO) I can see output actually changed, everything goes well until I try to map framebuffer from /dev/fb0, it failed with errno EINVAL. After check drivers source code I think it's because the display driver, it forget to notify the system to update framebuffer parameter…

  98. Hey folks, I'm hoping for some advice on achieving decent graphics for my application. I've got a prototype running with a custom board hosting the NanoPi Neo Air and a bunch of my own hardware. The biggest issue right now is getting reasonable graphics performance. The difference between mainline and legacy support has had me confused and switching back and forth trying to find a useful solution. Here's what I've learned so far: Mainline feels like the future, so that's my preference. My application uses fbtft over SPI for the graphics. I achieved 72MHz SPI on mainline which gives almost reasonable performance. On legacy the SPI driver seems buggy and …

  99. Started by Chris Rupnik,

    Wanted to share my very positive experience upgrading to the latest kernel. Followed the procedure using armbian-config and it worked out of the box on my OrangePi PC2. Left the system overnight running my standard tests and no issues. Even the problematic rtl8192 has no issue. There used to be a slight judder on the HDMI attached monitor that is gone now, perhaps due to the new MALI450 gpu modules. ___ ____ _ ____ ____ ____ / _ \| _ \(_) | _ \ / ___|___ \ | | | | |_) | | | |_) | | __) | | |_| | __/| | | __/| |___ / __/ \___/|_| |_| |_| \____|_____| W…

  100. Hi guys, does anyone know how to put a system indicator which is dock-able on the armbian panel similar to the photo below? I have tried installing "Indicator Multiload", "Multiload-ng" and "System Load Indicator" but did not have much success to make them work properly in the latest build of armbian. I am using Orange Pi PC+. Hope someone could help. Thank you very much in advance!
