  1. Running Armbian Ubuntu Xenial 16.04 on a PineA64, legacy kernel 3.10.105-pine64. Why is it necessary or desirable to put the variable 'ethaddr' in armbianEnv.txt? I thought the hardware mac address would be detected by the kernel. Perhaps not?

  2. I'm running Octoprint on Orange Pi Zero 2 and Armbian 22.11.3 Bullseye with Linux 4.9.318-sun50iw9 (other than assorted added userspace software, it's stock Armbian, no recompiled kernel or anything like that). It works great - while it works. I successfully complete 30+-hour prints. I can connect, monitor, everything is fine and dandy. When I'm connected to Octoprint from PC, monitoring of the 3D printer enabled, even without printing anything, it works ok. But if I'm not connected, and the printer is doing nothing for a prolonged time (an hour or so?), it stops working. Probably goes to sleep - stops responding to any network communication. Since it's a fully headless s…

  3. Hi, I have 2 OPi1 that I want to use for some test projects. One project consist just on PiHole, the other one on Tailscale. Since with newer kernel I have high temperature on idle (like 70°C) can you advice me an old version that maybe has a "better" thermal management? Thank you so much, if I'm saying something stupid please tell me, maybe I just need to tune something like disable hdmi, gpu etc...

  4. Was using the old MainsailOS Image until recently switching to armbian IOT bookworm and currently bleeding edge for the ghost touch fix. Today i noticed BTT now also released their armbian and armbian+klipper builds recently https://github.com/bigtreetech/CB1/releases So which on is it? Can find any much action on the official linked on https://github.com/JohnTheCoolingFan/armbian-build/commits/btt-cb1/

  5. Hello. I am taking the task of organizing and performing the BTT Pi and CB1 support update. The plan is to use mainline kernel 6.6 and 6.8 (basically the default sunxi64 config) instead of the BTT fork and use patches to backport kernel patches for drivers and hardware support. The Jira issue is AR-2312, which is a collection of things that will need to be done for this initiative. @Gunjan Gupta @c0rnelius @ag123 @jernej @ALIGMSTEN I'm asking for your help on this, as Igor has said to me that you are more knowledgeable on the state of the board and what it needs. From what I've found, there has been a PR that upgraded the kernel used for BTT CB1 to 6.1.79 using patch…

  6. Pine A64 · Started by Andro,

I have Armbian up and running very nicely on the PineA64+ 2GB board. Thanks to the community! Speed concerns aside, is it possible to attach a SATA drive to this board? What would be the recommended way to do so? It is the availability of large storage capacity that we need for our project, not blazingly fast disk writes.

  7. Hello, I have a massive problem as the time/date on my Pine64 keep changing randomly to the year 2113. In my project, I use several Pine64s and the problem now occurs on many of these Pine64s. Unfortunately I need the correct time for my project. I am using the following system: ARMBIAN 5.32.170911 nightly Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS 4.13.0-sun50iw1 (with additional overlays = uart3 and console = ttyS3) Could this be due to the error described in the post and is the bug fixed in kernel version 4.14? Could I install this kernel version 4.14 via armbian-config (next-kernel)? Thanks a lot for help.

  8. Hi all, I'm trying to change access my zero 2 via hostname instead of IP (e.g. https://mypizero2.local/). I've changed the hostname through sudo armbian-config but just cannot connect to it via hostname. Has anyone managed to get this working?
