  1. FT232R, CP2104 or CH340G chip based should be good. cp2102 is good for aw/aml only due to lack of high baud rate.
  2. rockchip soc standard baud rate is 1500000. 115200 is used for allwinner and amlogic. And RX/TX must be crossed.
  3. This is not Armbian but a fork which uses the name without permission. Do not ask for support here if you are using this.
  4. This is very odd. https://github.com/armbian/build/blob/d125240213f85f5776a3256fc73f9d984aa12851/config/kernel/linux-meson64-current.config#L89
  5. No drawback. Boot might be slightly slower since the kernel has to shove all its output over serial, no matter if it is actually read or not.

6.18.y is an LTS kernel which receives support for fixes over multiple years. This is our current kernel. If you want something more recent, switch to an edge kernel using code { font-family: Consolas,"courier new"; color: crimson; background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2); padding: 2px; font-size: 105%; } armbian-config. I will probably never understand why Ubuntu takes the useless effort to maintain an non-lts kernel over multiple years while its originator Debian got the clue and uses upstream LTS kernels for their releases so both parties the Debian and Linux maintainers can work hand in hand to fix things.
  7. You cannot simply shove image for board X on an sdcard into board Y and expect stuff to work. This isn't x86 world where all hw has a standardized interface....
  8. if nobody provides a pr, it won't be available for everyone...
  9. Interesting. Patches should be moved from https://github.com/armbian/build/tree/main/patch/u-boot/v2026.01 to https://github.com/armbian/build/tree/main/patch/u-boot/v2026.07-sunxi64
  10. You are not using Armbian. This is a fork that uses our name without permission and trick people into thinking they get some sort of support at our place. We do not support 3rd party forks.
  11. [ 10.266452] (pplicant)[507]: netplan-wpa-wlxe0e1a93880f7.service: Unable to locate executable '/sbin/wpa_supplicant': No such file or directory [ 10.266509] (pplicant)[507]: netplan-wpa-wlxe0e1a93880f7.service: Failed at step EXEC spawning /sbin/wpa_supplicant: No such file or directory The only thing that catched my eyes. Not sure where this comes from but perhaps a point to start digging.
  12. It has. And from what it looks like it is dirty on OP board
  13. Providing logs with armbianmonitor -u helps with troubleshooting and significantly raises chances that issue gets addressed.
  14. 2/4G device run just fine. only the 1G version needs different memory timing
  15. We have standard dt based (community supported) images and standard uefi arm64 images. but not a specific combination of both. for uefi firmware you have to check with edk2 rk3588 project.
  16. Providing logs with armbianmonitor -u helps with troubleshooting and significantly raises chances that issue gets addressed.
  17. I don't understand what you mean with former. All images from https://armbian.com/boards/cix-acpi are using the same firmware and kernel beneath.
  18. https://www.githubstatus.com/
  19. opiz3 and opiz3w have nothing in common besides the fact that "allwinner" is mentioned on the soc. Afaik latter is not even supported by armbian, neither officially or via community effort.
  20. Forum structure may be overhauled eventually in general. Getting rid of the family and support status division and rather do per vendor forums, increasing UX for end-users which may not even know what a SoC is. Either with this the request is solved already or can be reconsidered.
