  2. Hello, bit of a strange one here. Using Armbian 21.02.3 Bionic with Linux 5.10.21-sunxi on a NanoPi Neo Core. Using nmtui to set a static IP on the Ethernet interface and all is good. On reboot, a second interface is added (dhcp) and the static interface disabled. Any help at keeping a static IP that survives a restart would be very much appreciated, Cheers Rob

  14. Hi everyone, I am experiencing a persistent boot issue with my Orange Pi Win Plus running Armbian, used as a headless server. The Problem: Whenever the board suffers a power loss (unplugged) or I issue a system reboot, it fails to start automatically. The power LED stays on, but the system/network never comes up. To get it to boot, I have to go through a frustrating manual routine: manually holding/pressing the power button, sometimes plugging/unplugging the HDMI cable, and repeating this process a couple of times before it finally kicks in. What I have already checked/ruled out: Power supply is NOT the issue: I have tested multiple different power ada…

  15. Hello. My friend and I are comparing performance results with our cubietruck's. I'm using Armbian (Trusty vanilla latest update) and he's using ArmArchLinux. We tested a few dozen phoronix-test-suite tests and most results are the same except one. We both have a fresh OS install with no extras installed. The problem is with the phoronix-test-suite ramspeed integer copy test, I'm getting 812.03MB/s but he's getting 1479.73MB/s. Other ramspeed tests are giving proportionally equal results. What can explain such difference? Is my RAM running slower?

Even if I plug in USB speakers that have an LED indication - no LED lights, so I guess no power. I looked at the fex file from the OPI One and could not see the difference there in the OPI Zero. I am running Ubuntu Xenial (legacy version) on my Orangepi zero 256 Mb version and using it as a web server with light torrenting. The SoC temperature reading in armbianmonitor reaches above 80 C easily. When i log in via ssh after boot the temperature reads usually 60-65 C and normal operations easily cross 70 C. This is my first SBC so I am not sure if this is normal? Can anyone tell me if these temperature readings are fine and should I do something about it?

I compared two boards (opi zero h3 and opi zero plus h5) and found that cpu pins for 26 gpio are the same . so I modify the code in wiringPi about cpu detection to force return true value . and it works. the step: 1. git clone https://github.com/xpertsavenue/WiringOP-Zero 2. modify the code in WiringOP-Zero/wiringPi/wiringPi.c (or using the attached file to replace)。 3. make && make install 4. run "gpio readall " to test 5. run "gpio write 30 1" (the red-led on, wiringpi pin 30 control red-led status). wiringPi.c

  51. Hello I'm quite new with armbian and Banana Pi, but have some experience with Raspberry PI. I started with Banana PI M2 Zero and armbian because of current unavailibility of Raspberry PI which is needed for some of my DIY pinball projects https://lisy.dev/ With a 5.15.48 Kernel Image I noted that the internal ethernet of M2 Zero is set to disabled, where with a 5.10.60 Kernel from the archive it works. After some investigation I used the "sun8i-h2-plus-bananapi-m2-zero.dtb" overlay from the 5.10 Kernel with a 5.15.43 Kernel and was happy that eth0 was working again. However as I think it is not advisable to mixing Kernel version…

  52. Hello everyone, I’m looking for an old Armbian image: Armbian 5.73 stable for NanoPi NEO Air, specifically the one based on Debian 10 (Buster) with the 4.19.20-sunxi kernel. Unfortunately, it’s no longer available in the Armbian archives. If anyone still has a copy of this image (e.g., Armbian_5.73_NanoPiNeoAir_Debian_buster_next_4.19.20.img.xz), I would be very grateful if you could share it or point me to a working download link. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for your effort on this project. Much appreciated. I was able to follow this tutorial (10 minutes, 24 seconds in) on the Debian image to get the TV out working. I'm building scripts to modify the networking between a number of modes - super helpful to get a console access when I break something and lose all networking access. Is there support for this on the Ubuntu side? The simple "add 'tv' to the bottom of "/etc/modules" doesn't do anything. Please advise. Thanks!

I also saw similar issues under KDE desktop after clicking a button relating to OpenGL in the graphics settings (and couldn't figure out how to get that dialog back or undo the setting). I would prefer to stick with Gnome, I assume this issue has something to do with hardware/graphics acceleration having an issue, the application launcher seems to be immune from the issue. Sorry, I am quite a noob when it comes to Linux/programming related stuff, I couldn't find any other mentions about similar issues in this forum. The issue happens on both this 5" LCD and an HDMI TV at 4k.

  63. TL;DR: The small H2+/H3 boards unlike their bigger siblings are all prone to overheating due to smaller PCB size (on the larger boards the PCB's groundplane acts somewhat as a large heatsink dissipating heat away from the SoC). Due to mainline kernel settings not being optimized currently all these boards are slower under constant load compared to legacy kernel. This should change but won't unless someone is looking into it and spends some time on this. Two areas that deal with this overheating tendency or are somewhat related are thermal protection / throttling: use the thermal sensor(s) inside the SoC to downclock various engines if specific tre…

  74. I want to drive 2 SPI devices on my orangepi zero. I enabled `spi-spidev` and `spi-add-cs1` overlays and set `param_spidev_spi_bus` to 1. But by I still get only `/dev/spi1.0` available. How can I activate both cs pins? 97. Hi, After upgrading linux-image-current-sunxi64 package from 21.08.1 to 22.02.1, bringing kernel version 5.15.25, the CPU temperature raised abnormaly on my olimex teres board. Temperature is above 60°C at startup, whithout any activity or load average. The issue persists with latest 5.16.16 kernel from linux-image-edge-sunxi64 package. I noticed temp at startup around 30°C with 5.4.88-sunxi64 kernel, 40°C with 5.10.60-sunxi64 kernel and above 60°C with 5.15+ kernels. Does anyone have cpu temp issue with 5.15+ kernels ?

  98. Good evening. I am preparing an Orange PI Plus 2 in order to be the first computer for my 8 years old son. The idea is that he could learn Scratch by watching some video tutorials in YouTube The problem is that actually, if you pause a video, and the you want for it to restart, only video does it. Sound doesn't starts again. It remains muted. Then, if you click to watch another video, sound come back. But you loose it again if this second video is also paused. It's a bit annoying. Do you have the same issue ? Best regard. Maesstrissimo.
