Hi guys, I have the bad idea to build up little by little some house automation with an opi1 that I don't use. Just for fun. So I'd like to start with armbian and build everything from there, with no precompiled images. The first thing I want to try is Google assistant. Can I use the assistant sdk that I can find on official website? Or there is something better for opi? Can I eventually integrate it with something like Hass.io or similar? I'm open for any advice. Thank you in advance

  3. I am trying to install Tensorflow on my Orange Pi One. Everything seems okay on install, but pip says ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement tensorflow ERROR: No matching distribution found for tensorflow My guess is that the OS is a 32bit version and that Tensorflow runs on 64bit ones only. However, I can't find any source of checking whether the Armbian version I have is 32bit or 64bit.

  5. Hello, dear users and developers. Could you help me to enable SPI1 subsystem and use the corresponding device file /dev/spi... to test/probe SPI communications on my Orange Pi Win (Plus) machine? For the sake of that I am ready go migrate from currently good for me and quite fresh "raspbian for orange pi" where I've already implemented about 95% of required functionality. And it seems the only place where I can talk to people about SPI stuff in ready linux distributions is right here. Hello! I've built my own sbc using the Allwinner H3 chip, and I'm looking to get a custom armbian image running on it. I've already successfully compiled an image by adding a new config to u-boot and armbian-build, and a device tree to the linux kernel. Now I'm looking to get the WiFi working, but I can't seem to find where I can change its pin definitions. I'm using the AP6212: the SDIO pins are connected to SDC1 (aka mmc1) like every other board, but the WL_REG_ON (aka WL-PMU-EN) and WL_HOST_WAKE (aka WL-WAKE-AP) pins are connected to GPIO pins different from all other boards, so I'll need to change their pin assignments in the kernel manually. 30. Hi everyone, I got a problem with my beloved Armbian. I switched form a (SD-killing) Pi1 to a OrangePi. Everything runs fine except my Busware SCC (a RF interface for Homematic home automation). The module sits on the extension header and uses Pins 8 and 10 for the UART as well as pins 11 for reset and pin 12 for the bootloader. For the device to work normaly, pin 11 (GPIO17 on the rpi) has to be set high, else the device will stay in reset. Pin 12 I just left as it was on the rpi, the manual says I'm running ARMBIAN 5.36 with kernel 4.13.16-sunxi. If I understood it correct, pin 11 should be GPIO1. 47. Hello everybody, I would like to know what needs to be done to make this work. I simply copied over the sources of the r3p2 mali module into the 3.4.113 Armbian kernel source and the module wos built without error. Then I recompiled libump, libmali and fbturbu. But when I tried to put the gpu to work I got an error message: eglgetdisplay() returned no display. Since there was nothing helpful in the logs I coudn't investigate further where the problem lies. Has anybody had success with the newer mali drivers? Any hints are very welcome...THANKS! Paul

  48. Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to set the display resolution to 640x480, to use with an old CRT screen from a IBM PS/1 model 2011 that I want to revive. I know about h3disp, but it only has high resolutions, and that old screen does not want to sync correctly to anything other than VGA. I use an Orange Pi One, with a HDMI to VGA adapter and Armbian 5.35, with legacy kernel 3.4.113 Thank you! -Alexandre

  51. I have a NanoPi Neo Core and I'd like to analyse the SPI controller driver and why it toggles the lines the way it does. In the overlay file, all I see are mentions to 'spidev'. Where can I find out why the data lines shown below toggle the way they do? I.e. chip select goes low way before the clock line. The MISO line has a droop to GND briefly and the CLK line hangs high for a while before toggling... Thanks forum :). YELLOW: CS PURPLE: MOSI BLUE: MISO GREEN: CLK EDIT: I'm sending two bytes, 0xDA, 0x00 at spi mode 3. Ignore the decoder, it was set to read LSB first.

I recently started playing around with OrangePi Zero with the Allwinner H2+ CPU. I want to test out the internal audio DAC. To do so I enabled "analog-coded" in armbian-config. After rebooting I saw a new audio device in the output of "pacmd list-cards", but it says that only mono is available. How can I configure stereo sound? I haven't played around with "/etc/asound.conf" much as I don't understand it. Also, I don't have anything plugged into the audio pins on the GPIO.

I'm using a 2.4" LCD at spi1 which works as /dev/fb0 on armbian bookworm (6.1.63) Meanwhile I've learned frambuffer is deprecated and to be replaced by drm., but ... - I could not find enough details to understand the drm architecture in general - there is a linux/drivers/gpu/drm/tiny/ili9341.c how is that used at all? - How to use drm in armbian? For my case any acceleration is not necessary (and likely not possible even if the H3 has Mali Hardware) but I want to avoid further changes if /fbX is really gone. btw. 57. https://github.com/MaverickLong/MLIR-TIM-VX This is an MLIR-based lowering path from the TOSA v1 dialect to TIM-VX, VeriSilicon's OpenVX-based GPU/NPU ML Framework. It includes the lowering from TOSA v1 to a custom timvx dialect (mirrors the TIM-VX C++ semantics) and a full lowering to C++ source. It is currently on par in inference speed with the vendor ACUITY compiler pipeline while still giving you full control on the graph level. In my own testing, on a Radxa Cubie A7Z \w Allwinner A733, ResNet-50 takes 8.0ms to inference, while the ACUITY-compiled baseline takes 7.3ms according to Radxa. After a while beeing idle the monitor goes black as it should, but the cubie doesn't wake up on mouse or keyboard entry. The only thing working is a reboot. Also I'd like to know, how I can deactivate the Micro-USB port. If I remember it right, this is responsable for the low volume high pitch noise. Thanks for all your responses. kauppi

Now I want to use both CS pins at the same time so that I can connect two devices. The spi-add-cs1 overlay doesn't change anything so I researched a bit and found this custom overlay. Unfortunately it didn't work too and there is still only a single spidev available. Is there any way to enable both of them at the same time?

Hi Igor, while playing with your Armbian and kernel to squeeze even more juice from my cubietruck, i would ask you if you think it would be possible to add to your kernel and u-boot build the support for KVM. Here one experiment with KVM: https://rwmj.wordpress.com/2013/12/13/kvm-working-on-the-cubietruck/ Then, partially related with this, it would be nice to have the watchdog enabled to fight the occasional low level hang that happens sometimes (all freezed with 4 led on).

Following the instructions on https://linux-sunxi.org/I2Cdev, I have decompiled, edited and recompiled /boot/config.bin, but I still can't access any of the pins used by the I2C ports. Specifically, what I have done is to edit the decompiled script.bin.fex file, and in sections named [twi0] and [twi1], changed twi_used=1 to twi_used=0. After that, running a simple program that sets the pins to input and reads its status allways returns 1, even if the pin is connected to ground or…

  97. I have an Orange Pi One, with Armbian installed. *sometimes* when I log in it displays: "Welcome to ARMBIAN 5.38 stable Debian GNU/Linux 9 (stretch) 4.14.18-sunxi" Then some system statistics and a line with the CPU temperature, for example: "CPU temp: 58ºC" I can also get the current temperature with armbianmonitor -m or reading a file called "temp" in a directory under /etc/system (I don't remember the full path now). If I log in again, I see again the temperature in the welcome message, running armbianmonitor or reading the aforementioned file. Until I shutdown and boot again. Then, all 3 methods of getting t…

  98. Hi, I've been getting a journal file full of this kind of entry lately, which is using up all my memory until I get an error "no space left on device". I have two Cubietrucks, this is only occurring on one of them, both running mainline kernel and both up to date. The one causing problems has a 2.5" hdd mounted via the sata connector. 100. Started by CTUser,

Dear Forum, First of all thank you for being a member here. Second is that I would need some help on selecting an image for my present CT board. I need the followings: 1. hostapd with dnsmasq 2. g_mass_storage 3. sata 4.spidev or equivalent Preferably: 3. I would need free up SD card slot, so nand or SATA boot would be preferred. Which image is the best for me even if I need to recompile it? Thank you in advance.
