Hi! I just bought a NanoPi M1 board and It is running with Armbian without problem. Now I want to add a DHT22 temp & hum sensor but searching in the web I cant find any script to get it work. I saw that the RPi script doesn't work on the NanoPi M1 because the chip is differnt. In the Friendlyarm page there is a C script to work with the DHT11, but nothing with the DHT22. So, anyone have been experimenting whit it in this context? There are a Wiring Pi equivalent to NanoPi M1? Thanks

Edit: Price seems to be $17.99 Just FYI: FriendlyARM is preparing another H3 board: NanoPi Air somehow related to NanoPI NEO (same low default DRAM clockspeed let me believe this). What we already know (by looking at Github commits): onboard eMMC (no idea about the size) no HDMI no Ethernet AP6212 based WiFi+BT (connected through SDIO and UART) Personal assumptions: most probably also just a single bank DRAM configuration most probably also a SD card slot maybe eMMC only an option and a basic version without eMMC available same 40 x 40 mm dimensions as NEO, eMMC on the lower PCB side next to H3, AP6212 on the upper (where the Ethernet Jack is located on the NEO -- a…

Hello there. I'm owner of nano pi m1 board. I want use hid usb gadget on this board, but no success. First I use prebuild image from download section. I fugured out, that the image contains android_usb gadget and it's works (i didn't go deep, but i see, that after some manipulations with files my computer see nano pi as mass storage). Ok, this shows that nanopi board can be used as device. Go next. I need to load g_hid module, but there is no such module in the default image. Ok, time to compile custom kernel (with Igor's script this is easy). I included hid usb gadget via menu. Booting and "modprobe g_hid". Failed. "No such module" turns into "No such device". Hm...…

  5. Hello Armbian Kernel Team, I own a Cubietruck (CB3) and I wanted to setup a fresh debian server system. So I installed Armbian 5.14 (Debian Jessie) on my SD Card and booted the system up. Everything was working as expected, but I have special needs regarding the usage of my filesystems and storage devices. My desired configuration is (previously working under Armbian Wheezy): Cubietruck NAND -> /dev/nand1 (32 MB) = boot partition -> /dev/nand2 (max) = some data or maybe swap 60 GB SATA Drive (2,5") via SATA to USB adapter -> /dev/sdb1 (5 GB) = root filesystem -> /dev/sdb2 (55 GB) = some data 1 TB SATA Drive (3,5") via native SATA port o…

Hi everybody, I need some help because I can't make my OPIPlus2e working the way I want. If I understood well I have to install latest armbian, and copy/past script.bin, but sometimes ethernet is not recognized. I tried every distros on my orangepi2e, but I can't install things like kodi (refuses to start, missing libs), or making work hfs drive (can't mount hfs although hfsprogs well installed). I ended up installing openelec and it works great, but I would like to do a NAS with it. Is it still in active development or there is working ISO ? Thank you very much. Best regards, Poukin

I just want to post a thank you to the developers and contributors who have built one NICE distribution. Over a year ago I bought a few OPi PC as a possible replacement for Raspberry Pi based HAM radio projects I support. To say I was disappointed in the distribution from the manufacturer is a understatement. Without Loboris stepping up and getting something usable I would have tossed them in the trash and moved on. Last night I downloaded and installed Jessie server from Armbian. What a pleasure. Small, clean and a giant plus for me, HEADERS!!!!. I am so tired of having to build the headers for a kernel so I can compile the out of tree modules I need. I just ordered a f…

  10. Hey everyone, First off, I don't use Linux often so please bear with me if I miss out on obvious things. I have a few Orange Pi Lite boards, and after booting up Armbian 5.14 I was excited to give the Wifi a try after only having ethernet on my Orange Pi One boards. My OPi Lite sees my network just fine, but when I put in my credentials and go to connect to it, it fails returning "Bad Password". For what it's worth, I've checked the password probably 25+ times, I promise it's right. The wifi WILL connect to open networks, however. Is there some obvious solution that I'm missing here? Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

  24. I've set up a HE.net IPv6 tunnel on my CubieTruck, which announces itself in the network as a router for IPv6 network traffic. However, when I transfer data from other computers via the CubieTruck, bandwidth is very bad. rsyslogd causes a very high load on the CubieTruck and transfer rates are only up to several hundred KB/s. However, when I test downloading files from the CubieTruck itself, load doesn't increase and I can use my full line speed of 4 MB/s. As rsyslogd is the logging daemon, I looked into the syslog and found hundreds of page allocation failures like the one I attached to this post. What's wrong and how can I fix this? exception.txt

  25. Hello everybody. I'm trying to have the OLIMEX board and LCD above working, using legacy Jessie desktop. With the default configuration only portion of the screen works properly. So I have tried to: 1) sunxi-fexc from bin to fex the file /boot/script.bin 2) edit the extracted script.fex file like this: from [lcd0_para] lcd_used = 1 lcd_x = 600 lcd_y = 480 to [lcd0_para] lcd_used = 1 lcd_x = 1024 lcd_y = 600 which I understand is the resolution of my LCD screen. 3) sunxi-fexc back from fex to /boot/script.bin The result is that when I reboot I get a messed up screen. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  32. Wondering if there's anything similar to retroarch or mednafen that'll work for armbian on a pcduino3? I can't get the former to compile/install and the latter gives me guff about not being able to find a GLX visual when it tries to load video. It's worth noting that I'm pretty green when it comes to Linux, especially when it comes to "exotic"/SoC builds. I have nothing against learning, but I've found the signal-to-noise ratio for this product in particular is very poor and a lot of the info is woefully obsolete.

Hi to All, I decided to start this new tread for searching of the best solution for unification of the boot process from any available media. Main target is Armbian next and development branches and mainline Kernel and U-Boot. Boot device can be eMMC, SD/MMC, USB Flash/HDD and SATA HDD/SSD probed in given order. In case of booting from eMMC, SD/MMC and USB Flash Read-Only Root FS can be used optionally. In case of booting from SD/MMC or USB Flash eMMC and / or SATA devices can be updated automatically. Some effort in this direction was done by me and described in Armbian Customization thread. The tests was done on Olimex' A20-Olimexino-Lime2-eMMC (HW rev. …

I know Banana pi had issues in the past connecting at gigabit speeds. I thought that was a fixed problem, though. I did a fresh Jessie server install today and it still connects at 100 megabit. Is there a user action that must be taken? According to http://linux-sunxi.org/LeMaker_Banana_Pi the GMAC wasn't supported in the community kernel but should be in later kernels. Is this still an issue? How does one set GMAC_TX_DELAY to 3? Is that a config file thing or a patch that needs to be applied? Are other Banana Pi owners just living with 100 megabit speeds? 56. This may be one of those questions that should be considered dumb, but I'll risk your flames and ask regardless. Is the Orange Pi ONE GPIO Pin layout the same as the Raspberry Pi? I haven't found much specific to GPIO on the Orange Pi One, but I did see someone who said they were flipped 180 from the RPI. Before I attach a project and risk frying project and./or board, could you point me to a reference that specifies the layout of the GPIO pins on the Orange Pi ONE? And, like I said, I'm really sorry if this is the dumbest thing you've had to read all day. I have searched, but could not find much specific to the ONE.

I'm using vanilla Ubuntu Xenial 16.04 from http://www.armbian.com/lamobo-r1/ When I follow the forum posts for copying everything to the SATA drive and updating /etc/fstab and /boot/boot.cmd the system boots as expected to the SATA drive. The problem I have is I get prompted to upgrade it on boot using apt-get upgrade. This also upgrades the kernel version from 4.6.2 to 4.6.3. Because I have moved the system from the SD card to the SATA drive the new kernel doesn't load, only the old kernel with missing modules which causes problems. When the kernel updates it updates the SATA drive /boot directory but the device uses the sd card /boot directory so things get screwed…

Now, I want install armbian in a pdduino3b, I go to "downloads" select pcduino3, and I have two options: Xenial_server_vanilla and Xenial_server_legacy. I want hardware acceleration and most options of drivers and compatibility possible, so, I go for legacy option. But I realize that the two images have not a desktop environment, this is true? If yes, where can I download the full newer armbian version with legacy kernel and desktop ready? I try install xcfe over legacy image, but I have found for errors like "screen not found" and others... Regards.

This machine has worked fine with non-standard resolutions, like 1440x900, or 1280x1024. Now, when i turn it on, the U-boot screen appears correctly, it even shows that it set the resolution to 1440x900, and after that, the monitor says "signal out of range". Of course, it works well with a 1080p monitor, but i wanted to use this one too. Thanks!

  75. updated to 5.15 (then 5.16) release using aptitude. Kernel update worked. But when I updated u-boot ( linux-u-boot-orangepiplus2e-default ) , the system will no longer boot (see attached). But if I use linux-u-boot-orangepiplus-default , it will boot. (Note that the install script, to write/dd SPL , is hardcoded to mmcblk0, which is usually correct, but for this fix, I start boot on SDHC then pivot-root to eMMC. My running root is mmcblk1 during this "rescue" boot). Both 5.15 & 5.16 exhibit this behavior. Thanks, wha bad-uboot.txt

(diagnosis: the system runs, but the keyboard/mouse connected to the usb is not functional - desktop over net works!) i assume that there is something wrong with the boot.cmd - but i do not see exactly how to fix it. the upgrade process uses the ssd .../lib directory and removes 4.6.2 there. if i would mount the /boot directory with the running system (in fstab) - would this hel…

  97. Firstly many thanks to all the hard work from the Armbian developers - it installed onto the eMMC of my new Orange Pi Plus2E first time with no problems I'm trying to benchmark the board (with a fan/heatsink) and without. The standard Armbian runs it at a maximum of 1.296GHz but I'd like to run it faster. I'm new to using fex, but this appears to push it up to 1.536GHz with a Vdd of 1.5V: cd bin2fex /boot/bin/orangepiplus2e.bin orangepiplus2e.heatsink.fex sed -i "s/1296000/1536000/g; s/1320/1500/" orangepiplus2e.heatsink.fex cp /etc/default/cpufrequtils /etc/default/cpufrequtils~ sed -i "s/1296000/1536000/" /etc/default/cpufrequtils fex2bin orangepiplus2e.heatsink.…

Hello, Me, again !! I used pwm on Lime2 with 3.4.109 and works fine (generating sounds with 2-3 Khz) But, with 3.4.112, I have sound up to 363 Hz. Beginning with 364 Hz ... no sound !! I verified with an oscilloscope and I don't have rectangular waves over 364 Hz . Did anybody experienced such a strange thing ? What can be this 364 limit ? Thanks, Regards,

I've booted up with latest version of Armbian (Armbian_5.10_Cubietruck_Debian_jessie_3.4.112) with a connected SSD. I dont' see it in fdisk -l and if I go with dmesg | grep -i sata I get [ 1.265800] ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 mmio [mem 0x01c18000-0x01c18fff] port 0x100 irq 88 [ 1.610672] ata1: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) The cable that were inside the cubieboard package has two different power cables, one red/black and another yellow/black, and if I'm not wrong the first should go into 5v Sata connector and the yellow one …

Hello Forum, please excuse my bad English. I try setting up a stratum1-server. Based on GPS. For this I use the Banana Pi with kernel 4.6.2 and the Adafruit GPS. The GPS is connected to GPIO J12 and works. RX/TX is not the problem. The problem is the right pin for the PPS-signal. dmesg|grep pps* [ 0.001207] Calibrating delay loop (skipped), value calculated using timer frequency.. 48.00 BogoMIPS (lpj=240000) [ 0.067281] VFP support v0.3: implementor 41 architecture 2 part 30 variant 7 rev 4 [ 3.260009] pps_core: LinuxPPS API ver. 1 registered [ 3.260018] pps_core: Software ver. 5.3.6 - Copyright 2005-2007 Rodolfo Giometti <giometti@linux.it>…
