Hi, I trying to record transport stream from USB DVB-T card, but I have some problem with dvbstream. Card work well with mumudvb. Currently I'm using Armbian Ubuntu Xenial on H3 (Orange Pi PC), unfortunately dvbstream (installed from repository) don't want to lock fronted to desire frequency, while dvbtune (0.5.ds-1) (installed from the same repository ) work fine. In this case I downloaded dvbtune (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/dvbtune_0.5.ds.orig.tar.gz) from source, but after compile not want to work. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? why dvbtune not work after compilation? Thank You.

  7. Hi all, I'm writing this post because I had an issue upgrading my lamobo-r1 from the previous version to the current one (Armbian_5.20_Lamobo-r1_Ubuntu_xenial_4.7.3). On reboot hwclock doesn't start so I get my clock set to epoch, wan doesn't go UP, postfix says "time stamp 2015-11-25 01:40:22 is 1448411826.350146139 s in the future", random says "uninitialized urandom read"... a total mess. As pointed out on some sites, looks like "/etc/init/hwclock.conf" has "start on starting mountall" so failing to mount could cause a failing in hwclock initialization. I also found on bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu that in recent versions with systemd, mountall became fussy about fi…

Hello, I am trying to use BPI with legacy Armbian and Stella emulator with 16:10 monitor (using HDMI-DVI cable) I just dont know how to set proper 16:10 resolution. The resolution I set in armbian-config is 1680x1050, but it is different from resolution that Stella uses, when I launch it on the startup. It uses the resolution defined in FEX. So I checked https://linux-sunxi.org/Fex_Guide#disp_init_configuration and tried various resolutions, but dont know which of them is 16:10 and what is the exact resolution. For example 576p can mean anything. How can I find it out? Thank you very much.

These instructions are meant for newbies but it can be extremely helpful if you are new to Armbian, OPI and GPIO. At least it would have been for me. There is a total of 17 different pins to control according to the schematic below. These pins are highlighted in blue numbers that indicate what GPIO port they are available at. Use these numbers in order to know that pins to control. Look for instructions further down. First off some basics: Activate a pin by exporting it. For example. And if possible I'd like to read an analog voltage from the H5's built in ADC. Now that I've looked deeper into BakeBit, it seems like the entire purpose of BakeBit is to do GPIO with an Arduino, and read the information remotely on a RbPi/NanoPi or whatever ON the Arduino's GPIO pins. If that is really what BakeBit is, then BakeBit doesn't interest me. The H5 already has GPIO and an ADC. We just need to get that working. For interest's sake, here is the progress I made with BakeBit. ADC Python example in Bakebit h…

The board undergoes a complete shut down procedure. I checked the log entries in /var/log/syslog log file. There is a entry of board going to shut down but I couldn't find the reason for shut down. Is there a way to find out if the board got shut down because of the Power-button press, shutdown command from a SSH client, shutdown because of temperature or shutdown because of under voltage ? Is there a log file i can check to find the reason for shutdown?

I'm not sure if I should pursue this here or if I should open a ticket through Debian Bugs. A recent update now causes mpd to segfault. mpd comes from the Debain armhf repository. I'm not sure how to determine if this is a hardware issue with my board somehow or if there is an interaction with a new kernel or if it's because the package updated the binary or a library. To make sure it wasn't something weird in my configuration I moved the conf file out of the way and re-ran mpd with the same result. If it helps, I can post an strace output of the issue. James

(approx 11 Mb/s max through AFP/nfs share). Gigabit does not seem to be the bottleneck on the pi since it does not impact my bit rates. My question is simple : can I have better performance if I make a RAID via btrfs ? Do I have to format my hard drives ? What is the best distro ? (I used armbian but does not seem very stable compared to the raspberry, what about ubuntu server, or raspbian ?) Thanks

We are several users of this system to encounter the same problems. In logs, date is 1970, so we suspect a time synchronization problem. We use timedatectl for ntp synchronization, but it appears that rtc clock (fake clock) is not stable. Why? Any solution to keep rtc clock synchronous with ntp? Somes members of Jeedom community try with hardware RTC clock on I2C, and it seems working. But any existing other solutions? Thanks.

  95. I have a BananaPi M1+ running pure-ftpd, it was fine when using Armbian 5.14, but I have a problem after upgraded to Armbian 5.20. Here is the output of the filezilla client : If I disable the firewall by clearing all the iptables rules, filezilla can connect to pure-ftpd without problem.

  97. # PROBLEM: Recent bananapi m1 images (and other A20 boards?) have no kernel headers, and armbian-config is not working so no hardware support. # SOLUTION: Armbian_23.02.2_Bananapi_jammy_current_5.15.93.img.xz Take this image and install the headers manually - or update to recent ones from here (not all work). NOTE: Armbian_23.02.2_Bananapi_jammy_current_5.15.93_minimal.img.xz While is the same build, cannot unfreeze kernel changes in armbian-config gui Flash SD and drop the 3 kernel packages in /root/ After first boot run $ apt upgrade && apt upgrade --fix-missing Unfreeze kernel with $ armbian-config -> sys…

  98. Hello everyone! I am trying to set up a CSI camera for my Orange Pi win plus (A64). The camera is GC2035 and I have already seen it not easy with latest versions. New versions of Armbian have not CSI support and do not have drivers gc2035 and vfe_v4l2. I found you can somehow compile the driver but honestly.....I do not understand how. I know the process of ./compile.sh but no idea how to use this https://github.com/avafinger/gc2035 It says is for H3, probably not for A64 right? Looking for the oldest version of Armbian I could use, I found out on the archive this one: Armbian_5.59_Orangepiwin_Ubuntu_xenial_default_..&g…

  99. Hi i did some comparison of NanoPi NEO Kernel 3.4 (Jessie) and kernel 4.4 (Stretch). - Looks like the temperature limit controlling of 4.4 is not working as good as 3.4 (on 4.4 Kernel the CPU reaches more than 85 °C!) - GPIO (wiringPi) has less performance (-4%) - SPI has better performance (10%) - CPU performance is ~6% better (nbench, maybe the newer compiler) - consumption is besser on Kernel 3.4, especially on halt state I did a fork for wiringpi Library to make it work on Armbian Jessie and Stretch https://github.com/mstroh76/WiringNP (so far only for NEO)
