Hi, I'm trying to work with the CedarX/Cedrus Video Engine (on Allwinner A20). It works smoothly with my patched FFmpeg; for example: ffmpeg -f v4l2 -r 30 -pix_fmt nv12 -video_size 1280x720 -i /dev/video0 -vcodec cedrus264 -pix_fmt nv12 -qp 15 -f rtsp -rtsp_transport tcp rtsp://192.168.10.11/live/test I need to use pixel format RGB24, but as far as I understand, I'm limited to work with NV12 (or NV16) pixel format. Does this limitation is due to: My FFmpeg patch (I think not...) CedarX/Cedrus driver implementation. Hardware limitation. Thanks for the help, Joseph

  5. Hey there! I'm trying to create an image with Debian Bullseye using Debos and Armbian. My board is an Orange Pi PC H3. I am following this step guide to generate the image, but I'm having problems to read serial. The tutorial that I follow was created for Orange Pi Zero +2 H5, so I change the architecture for armhf. When I boot the image I don't have any file named "armbianEnv.txt". This file should be already there? Or I have to create it? Some idea about what can be the problem? Just for test I create this file with some parameters that I found, but still not working.

  7. Hi all, This used to work absolutely fine for me a couple of years ago but for some reason it isn't working at all now. I had to format the eMMC and re-flash it. Using either Bookworm or Jammy, when I try to run the script for boot from eMMC / system on NVME after the reboot it won't boot again. I've tried on both, tried before / after apt-update etc. Just doesn't seem to want to work when it used to in the past. This is what I'm seeing, apologies for phone photos, as I was in my living room, no way to take a screenshot. Any ideas? Thank you!

  12. I run ARMBIAN 5.38 stable Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 4.14.18-sunxi on an Orange Pi Zero. Cron and its timezone are causing me problems: it's initially one hour out - all root crons run an hour early. If I run dpkg-reconfigure tzdata and set the correct region/place, cron then runs correctly until the next reboot. I can see no difference between the localtime and timezone files before and after the reconfigure (strangely, the localtime link is replaced by a file following a reconfigure - this is different from my other Armbian machines). I can work around the problem as follows: following a start/reboot I then restart the cron serv…

Has anyone tried to install PiVPN or EasyRSA on a Rock64? I tried this and had some issues where EasyRSA did not install. No errors were shown on the install or captured in the install log. Took me a while to figure out that EasyRSA was not installed. It even created .opvn files for clients... I finally figured out what happened. Did some research and found a suggestion to manually install some packages BEFORE installing PiVPN. That seems to work, so now I have a working VPN. I just wanted to see if anyone else is having an issue. I will also post on the PiVPN Github site to get their input. Thanks!

And because I'm having issues with wifi on the images found on Banana forums, with all images being old and based on kernel 3.4 -- wifi disconnects with some weird firmware errors in dmesg after about 3 minutes of running, requiring reboot to get back up again -- I was happy to read Armbian runs fine on BPI-M2Z for some folks here. So I did the build process, twice, so that I have two images to test, one with kernel 4.19 and one with 5.1, b…

Also very nice skins to make your OS look like old Windows versions, or even MacOS. You can play old Windows games with it thanks to Box86 + wine which is preinstalled and configured. Also native x86 Linux games run amazingly well with it. There is a Steam client preinstalled. Is must say I've never used it, since I've never used/liked Steam. Hi, I'm trying to work with the CedarX/Cedrus Video Engine (running in Allwinner A20).

I've been researching for the past couple of days and I'm amazed at what the OPi can do, it's crazy for it's price. But my concern is how little support and community there is out there, idk if it's worth the risk. So if any one worked with it can you please tell me what kind of difficulties have you faced and how similar is it to working with the raspberry?

  54. Hey there, we are using the Olimex Lime (A20) and the Debian Wheezy image of Igor. Great work. We were wondering what you strategies are concerning updating all relevant system parts (bootloader/kernel/application). Is there any reference implementation that anyone could recommend? Application wise this can be fairly easy be done via docker - which we are using - but what mechanisms are used for the bootloader itself and the kernel. The should be an atomic update procedure an…

You can solve the issue by apt-get install tightdm.after and not before. You will get the desktop for the user and not root. Grey Background with the pinguin. If you install Desktop in Bullseye with Orange Pi One Plus or Orange Pi Zero, no issue. You have the new Debian Desktop with a Background dark blue. Regards F1ATB.fr

  99. Hi all; Recently i installed a armbian and seems to be all ok less the global memory detection. I don't know by but the system have only detect 256 Mb. from total amount of 512Mb. (/proc/meminfo). Of course, i proved another OS and detet all memory so i know that's not a hardware problem. Is there any trick on kernel or something misconfigurated?

  100. Hi, I was looking for ways how to speed up CPU for faster ethernet transfers and speed it down when idle. I would also like to control voltage. I know that in mainline kernel you can edit this file arch/arm/boot/dts/sun7i-a20.dtsi and configure it yourself. 1)I would like to know where (if) you can control voltage somewhere for 3.4 kernel. I was unable to found any info. 2) in /boot/script.bin i found out parameter "dram_clk", I assume that you can change freq of RAM here. Somewhere I read (I think form tkaiser) that you can add 48MHz steps to CPU/memory. Why exactly 48MHz? That is very interesting for me. Some clock source/timer works in 48 MHz? …
