Description Currently, if losetup -f has to create a new device node and is run in a docker container, the device will be created on host butt will not be available to the already running container. This PR mitigates that by running losetup -f in a container in case there are no loop devices (/dev/loop0 is checked). The container exits after executing losetup and the main build container is run after. The MKNOD capability does not affect the issue, so it was removed. The armbian way appears to be to use the u-boot.bin.sd.bin in place of the u-boot.bin. Usually this isn't a huge problem, but on this unit it isn't playing nicely. There is also no SDCARD slot on this unit, so let's just use the intended binary. View the full article

As we approach our next point release, the focus shifts entirely towards bug fixing and stabilization. Feature development is on hold this month to ensure that core functionalities like network connectivity, video output, and booting processes are solid. We aim to resolve as many issues as possible during this period. However, we encourage users to report any recognized problems here so that they can be addressed in future updates. Target for next release We are targeting kernel v6.6 for our current builds and v6.10 for edge builds, while vendor kernels will remain at their latest versions—6.1.y for Rockchip 3588 and 5.15.y for Meson64 legacy. Video acceleration for Rock…

This update ensures that ./userpatches/kernel/pre-config.sh runs before the kernel's make menuconfig command. Users can now place configuration instructions in this file instead of manually configuring the kernel. The pre-config.sh file may include instructions like: scripts/config --enable CONFIG_DEBUG_FS scripts/config --enable CONFIG_KGDB scripts/config --enable CONFIG_UBSAN The scripts/config utility is provided by the kernel to facilitate configuration changes through scripts. Description Bump rockchip64 edge kernel to v6.10. Includes the rk3328 gpio2 bank fix from https://github.com/armbian/build/pull/6974 Minor changes have been needed to bring patches from 6.9 to 6.10 (notably, very small rework of the overlay compilation). @brentr rk3308 now has a mainline audio codec driver. It breaks several patches that previously introduced a driver and manipulated it to "sync with BSP" and convert to "component". This commit contains all the modifications I did to allow the kernel to compile cleanly, but the result may not provide working audio or may not provide the same functionalities as before, hence rk3308 audio section requires some more separa…
