  1. The info report also says: CPU Hardware : sun50iw6p1 which is Allwinner and I think more accurate.
  2. You need to actually provide some details on what you have done. What image are you trying to install? What were the edits to the extlinux.conf file you tried? Are you following the install instructions found on this site (https://forum.armbian.com/topic/33676-installation-instructions-for-tv-boxes-with-amlogic-cpus) You mention REGlinux, per the instructions have you reinstalled android firmware to restore the system to clean before trying to run Armbian?
  3. Moved to correct forum
  4. Upgrades are just standard debian/ubuntu upgrades. apt update apt upgrade for deb package updates.
  5. That doesn't tell us much. What version? (including linux kernel version). Or better yet.... Providing logs with armbianmonitor -u helps with troubleshooting and significantly raises chances that issue gets addressed.
  6. @Blucasd73 That information is in the installation instructions already
  7. Not uEnv.txt anymore as the current images use extlinux. Info is in the link I posted above.

  9. You are on a vendor kernel. That is not mainline linux, you need to be on current or edge to run mainline. Having said that, the general rule of thumb is that vendor is old (unpatched with all that implies security wise) but generally feature complete, while mainline is newer but waiting for features to be accepted in mainline (some of which might never get ported to mainline). Each user generally cares about different features, so try different kernels to find the kernel that works best for your use cases.
  10. moved post to correct sub-forum as this is a Rockchip CPU based box
  11. The first question I have for you is why are you trying an edge kernal? "edge" means for testing purposes and things may not work. I'd recommend you first try the current stable kernel.
