  2. I have two Olimex Lime 2 eMMC boards, both set up the same way – same HDDs, same batteries, same power supplies, etc. Both run: - Armbian 5.31 (although one was updated to it, and the other was freshly installed with that version) - Debian 9 “stretch“ (same issue when they were both on Debian 8 “wheezy” though) - Linux kernel 4.8.14-sunxi Yet, one shows the CPU temperature, and the other doesn’t. 6. I've read many posts here and understand the OPi0 wireless chip isn't very well liked. I'm trying to setup hostapd with both client and AP functionality. I can get AP working only if I dedicate wlan0 to it. It seems that virtual devices (eg iw dev wlan0 interface add uap0 type managed; ip link set uap0 up) don't work with the current jessie image, making it impossible to have both AP and client simultaneously. I'm happy to help with testing the driver, but I'm no expert and certainly not knowledgeable enough to code this sort of stuff. If there's any help to be had, I'd be grateful.

  7. My new Orange Pi Lite can't connect to WiFi networks through internal WiFi adapter (RTL8189FTV) It tries to connect (putting interface...) then very long validating authentification and "Bad password"! But password is right! I tried two WiFi networks with different passwords, but Pi always showed "bad password" Both networks have WPA2-PSK security I set up WPA1/2 hex the WPA2 passphrase but it gave nothing! Please, help me! (Running latest Armbian (3.4 kernel)

  8. I have an Orange Pi PC with the Allwinner H3 processor running the latest 5.20 version of Armbian. I am unable to successfully connect to a Wireless access point because as soon as the status of connection is "Obtaining IP address" the Orange Pi PC crashes and reboots. I have tried this with both a reputable Edimax wifi dongle and a cheapy wifi dongle with the same results. I can have them plugged in and the OPi and it will run fine but as soon as I try to connect to a wireless network, it crashes. I have the OPi PC connected to a variable power supply capable of 3A and it isn't getting anywhere near that. So my 5V isn't a problem. I have updated and upg…

  19. Hi there, I have problem with recovering "sudo h3consumption -m 1200 -c 4" on Orange Pi Zero, where it activates just 2 cores. No idea why. When I used "sudo h3consumption -m 900 -c 1" it worked fine, but now, when I am trying to recover all 4 cores it activates just 2 cores. Which files h3consumption changes? (so I will be able to backup them with clean install and the restore them once needed to recover settings for all 4 cores). And I found out, that with "sudo armbianmonitor -m" it shows CPU changes 900Mhz, 1018Mhz (dont remember exact values) but now it just shows 480 P.S. The system can not boot up with a great probability. My power source is the charger for SAMSUNG smartphone. The specification indicates it can provide 5V/2A current. I am used to different hardware and Debian since "the days You compiled Linux kernel in just 48 hours". I read quite a lot about OPZ and different OS solutions - You have quite a few weeks before You get Your parcel from China to Your mailbox in Sweden. My first SD card I bought from China, it was Kingston 16GB class 10 an all of that. Worked like charm in couple of hours then after reboot it was unreadable. I spent days in search for solution, tried to reformat it in different ways on different machines and using different OS and software combination.…

  32. Hey there,I am having trouble with SPI on my Banana Pro. I am trying to access the SPI interface via WiringPI (the Lemaker Banana Pro version). But whenever I try to access it, it tells me: Unable to open SPI device: No such file or directory The message is correct, as there are no /dev/spi* files present. The question is: How do I get them?(according to http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_mainlining_effort#Status_Matrix it should be available since 3.15)For the 3.4.x, one had to load modules (spidev, etc.) but this doesn't seem to work for 4.9.x. Needs to show up as a device in ALSA, alongside the in- built CODEC - As far as I can see, this driver is in mainline kernel but I have no idea how to configure the kernel build to include it. Obviously we need to tell the system where its i2s/SPI interface is connected etc. Unsure which kernel version (legacy or mainline) to begin with. We do need a desktop environment and the olimex 10"/7" LCD to work also... I am starting this from a position not having built a kernel or kernel modules before so If this idea is a non-starter, someone please tell me so. Thanks.

Besides I have another problem: I use davfs2 to backup some video and photos to cloud storage throw webdav, and I have mistakes on large files (files much bigger then free space in /var/cache). Davfs2 send files in cache folder first (/var/cache/davfs2 by default) and then to webdav disk, so I have to use another disk with enough free space (sda1 in my case). 38. Hey all, Sorry for the noob question, I posted this in another topic but it hasn't seen any action so I thought I would make a post. I have an Orange Pi PC, using the RetroOrangePi build which is based on Armbian. I'm having overscan issues on my 720p TV. I checked the options on the PC, there's no way to fix it there. They figured it out in this topic here (where I initially asked this question): The solution is to add code to u-boot in order to solve the overscan, or edit boot.cmd. My question is, will using u-boot be the best solution, or is it better to edit boot.cmd? Do I simply create a boot.cmd in something like note…

  45. Hi. I've got a Orange Pi Win Plus flashed with armbian, everything is running great, except the bluetooth module. I have everything installed, but blueman keeps telling me that no adapters are found. I've checked if the bluetooth adapters were on with the command 'armbian-config', as well as trying to stop and restart it with '/etc/init.d/bluetooth stop and start'. I start to feel like it won't work on linux, because I've already tried debian and ubuntu from the orangepi downloads page and the bluetooth didn't work too. I don't want to run Android just because of this issue. Any ideas?

Hello everyone, As I was looking for to see the cause of not having any free memory left on this BananaPi, I found out that Clamav daemon is using all the free memory (44%), after stopping the service I could again see more free memory. The clamAV was installed I think when I installed apache, mysql using the provided scripts (softy). Is this a normal RAM usage for ClamAV ? Also please can you tell me what I could do to optimize mysql for a low resource server as this, I can see alot of mysql proccesses runing Than k you.

But there is no entry in /sys/class/udc/ and i get no /dev/hidg0 device Did i missed something? is there a special overlay directive for the usb controller? or is something missing in the kernel? is it better to use the g_hid module?

  52. I was hoping I could find some information as to why linux-jessie-root-next-bananapipro was being held on my BPi Pro system. The kernel and u-boot packages have been upgraded. I've held back on updating linux-jessie-root-next-bananapipro because I'm concerned it would break something. Is there some log file I should look at or some documentation somewhere?

Hi, admin. I installed Mainline 4.9.12-sunxi on my cubieboard 2. Since the Mainline kernel doesn't have Mail driver and hardware accelerated video decoding, I want to downgrade the kernel to Legacy 3.4.113. If I don't want to reinstall the whole system, is there anyway to replace the kernel with the old version? Many thks!

My problem is that the network fails after some time (sometimes couple of minutes but half an hour at most). I'm not able to ping it at all. 79. Hi all, I'm trying to use an Orange Pi PC Plus to drive an RS485 serial converter and ultimately talk Modbus to a sensor device. I have managed to get flow control enabled on the port, but the polarity of the RTS signal is active LOW, whereas the converter I have requires active HIGH. Is there any way to invert the polarity of the RTS pin for the UART? I think it can be done via ioctl call in C programs, but I need this applied at a system level to be compatible with some third party software. Thanks in advance!
