  1. I read few in the net about the ahci-driver of the A20-Board. I have a Cubietruck and I want to use a hdd with more than 2TB. Is it - theoretical or in principal possible? My HDD is found but only 2TB of it.

  2. Dear all, I am using armbian Mainline Debian Jessie 4.9.7 and 4.9.12 on a Banana Pi Pro (A20). Coming from legacy and fex, I came a long way learning a lot about Device Trees, Overlays, etc. the last 2 weeks. I even compiled some dev kernels to experiment. I currently struggle with with the OTG port. I have two devices on the primary slots and need to get the OTG in host mode to attach my third device. I've read that the OTG is not providing 5V to the device. Therefore, I use Pin4 5V DC and Pin6 GND of the 40Pin header. It works well when connecting Device #3 on USB 1 or 2. But not on OTG. I used dmesg to track devices. Is there an…

  3. Apologies if this is documented/reported somewhere else, but I can't see anything on a quick forum search. I received two Orange Pi Zeros this morning, and eagerly downloaded the Orange Pi Zero flavour of Armbian (Xenial Legacy) and loaded it up on a good 8GB microSD. I then started using it, updating it, and suddenly realised that it only had a 1.4GB partition when it failed to finish updating due to insufficient space. I thought since I'd had some issues logging into it that I might have interrupted the first boot resize, so I re-imaged it, and loaded it up, left if five minutes, and then logged. No cigar... says it is still 1.4GB (1.4GB size, 1.2GB used, 2…

  5. Started by Uladzimir,

Good afternoon. I have an Orange Pi One and I need to achieve the maximum boot speed. The ultimate goal is a kiosk mode and the only application on the QT. The network is not needed. The simplest way will probably be to change the run level to the single mode, but with this there are problems. Any tips, suggestions, experiences?

  6. Started by squarefoot,

Just stumbled upon this new board by the Friendlyarm folks. http://www.friendlyarm.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=197 Lots of signals exposed on the strip contacts, including Ethernet and USB, though magnetics and connectors aren't there, which makes this even more interesting to build thin appliances: you add connectors when you need them. Good! I'll probably order a couple to start playing with, but will take forever to ship over here.

  7. Is there currently a known problem with some of the Repos used by H3 Armbian Mainline (OrangePi Plus 2). For the last few days, when I run apt update, I get timeout messages on some repos. The repos that are consistently timing out are: http://ports.ubuntu.com xenial InRelease http://ports.ubuntu.com xenial-updates InRelease http://ports.ubuntu.com xenial-updates/main armhf Packages Additionally, this Repo sometimes times out, and sometimes succeeds, but takes a long time: https://deb.nodesource.com/node_6.x xenial InRelease Please let me know if you require more info. Many thanks, Roy Gilby

  8. Hello everybody. Faced such a problem. When connecting to the HDMI port of the monitor, no image is displayed on the monitor. More precisely, the line at boot time is visible, but the desktop is not displayed. If you connect to a TV via HDMI port, there is an image. I connect OrangePi Plus 2, via HDMI-HDMI cable. Monitor LG FLATRON 27EA33V-BB. Why is that such a problem on armbian and retroorange assemblies. But the assembly of DietPi on the monitor image displays .. The systemist under win7 also without any problems displays the image always. Tell me where to find the solution to the problem. I tried changing the modes with the 'h3disp' utility. 10. Hi, I have a Opi+2 board which has an Armbian system installed in its emmc. Now I want to format its Emmc and reinstall Armbian but the problem is I don't have a proper SD card. So I need to do it without an SD card. I have a running system on it, so I can reach the working system. Is there a way of formating it while its running? For example a command does the same thing with "dd if=armbian.img of="/dev/mmcblk1"" (which won't work while there is a system working, its just an example) (mmcblk1 = working system, emmc)

Hi, At the beginning I would like to emphasize that I am not an expert in linux :) I use bananapi m2 + v1.1 in my project. Until now everything worked well with the SD card on armbian 5.25. My project is now finished and would like to run the system from emmc. I used armbian-config to move system from SD card to emmc. I chose the only option: Boot from eMMc – system on eMMC. Everything went well except the message (while formatting): EXT4-fs (mmcblk1p1): Unrecognized mount option "compress-force=zlib" or missing value mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/mmcblk1p1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In …

I get messages like "/boot/zImage file not found" so i checked my sdcard (wich cointains the boot folder) and i saw that zImage was symlink to the previous kernel image (wich no longer existed). I corrected it cause in fact there was a vmlinuz-4.19.13-sunxi but there are some more symlinks broken in boot foolder. UInitrd is also broken and i dont have the appropiate file to make a new symlink, script.bin symlink is also broken (it pointed to /boot/bin/bananapi.bin wich …

  21. Hey everyone, First off, I don't use Linux often so please bear with me if I miss out on obvious things. I have a few Orange Pi Lite boards, and after booting up Armbian 5.14 I was excited to give the Wifi a try after only having ethernet on my Orange Pi One boards. My OPi Lite sees my network just fine, but when I put in my credentials and go to connect to it, it fails returning "Bad Password". For what it's worth, I've checked the password probably 25+ times, I promise it's right. The wifi WILL connect to open networks, however. Is there some obvious solution that I'm missing here? Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

  24. Hi, I was on the legacy kernel until recently with my bananaPi M1. I have to reboot the PI to restore the state. Also, a normal read/write state GPIO.input(PIN_NUM) works perfectly... I assume it is due to the vanilla kernel but could not find any documentation on why this is happening... Any answer/comments would be much appreciated! Let me know if yo…

Hi I have problem with Cubieboard2 powering off during Legacy Armbian_5.14_Cubieboard2_Debian_jessie_3.4.112 boot. I had written SD card with command: dd if=Armbian_5.14_Cubieboard2_Debian_jessie_3.4.112.raw of=/dev/sdd bs=1M and upgraded uboot from here: http://phelum.net/temp/CB2/u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin with command: dd if=u-boot-sunxi-with-spl.bin of=/dev/sdd bs=1k seek=8 full boot output here: U-Boot SPL 2016.05-12902-g0e6e34a-dirty (Jun 19 2016 - 21:55:16) DRAM: 1024 MiB CPU: 912000000Hz, AXI/…

  54. Hey guys, first off, I'll make no bones about it... I'm an absolute noob. But I wanna learn! So I have the OPi PC and I purchased this 7" HDMI USB touch screen Now, I've plugged it all in and the screen worked fine right out of the box but the touch did not. I've verified it's working by plugging it into my desktop and everything worked great. I can only assume that it's not working due to a lack of drivers. The screen came with a CD that contained the screen drivers but not the touch drivers. It also came with a handful of RPi distros with the drivers preinstalled. But nothing for OPi Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Armbian seems to me too complicated for such tasks. If you put OpenWRT on NEO2, then NAS Dock is not detected in the system. I needed to find a Linux image to install on it, and I've already got several, but all the ones that worked, and that were on the login screen, didn't go beyond that, since in none of the 4 USB ports the keyboard worked and I imagine the mouse. Over a year ago I bought a few OPi PC as a possible replacement for Raspberry Pi based HAM radio projects I support. 96. Started by Bernie_O,

I want to downgrade the kernel because auf random freezes on my Banana Pi and was following this tutorial to downgrade to Mainline stable kernel (Armbian 5.31): At apt.armbian.com I can find all required packages except for: linux-firmware-image-next-sunxi According to the linked thread I need this package otherwise the system may not start anymore. Could someone tell me where to find that package? Thanks :-)

Although, my printer falls into deep sleep after printing (it's Brother HL-1110EW) and cannot be woken up by the server. I have to start printer manually to print next printouts. Thus I wanted to install tea4cups to drive a relay turning the printer on and off when needed. I installed the WiringOP-zero (from here: https://github.com/xpertsavenue/WiringOP-Zero) but then strange things become to happen. I connected temporarily a LED diode to indicate the changes of the GPIO. (GPIO-7 and GND). The LED is on all the time, no matter what command I se…

  100. Good morning, I am designing a board to use a NanoPi Neo Core. By default it comes without Wifi or BlueTooth. I had thought about putting the AP6212 chip on it. Can someone tell me if it is compatible with Armbian in its latest versions? Thank you and best regards!
