  2. Hello everyone, First of all, I'm sorry for my English. I'll do my best. Currently armbian is installed in the mmc (although I tried the same test with a sd memory). Now, with lscpu I can see that only cpu0 is enabled; 1-3 are off. When I try: sudo echo '1' | Sudo tee / sys / devices / system / cpu / cpu1 / online to activate cpu1, shell replies with: online: Permission denied I'm looking for options on root permissions or sysfs mount options; For now, I can not find a solution. Thanks in advance for your help.

  3. I realize there have been a few topics on this, but it seems to me that this was considered fixed. When using 5.23 with a 4.8 kernel, the MAC address was stable. After upgrading to 5.25, the MAC address was still the same as before. However after an outage, the two boards running 5.25 came up with a new MAC address (two boards still running 5.23 came up with the same MAC address). Then the MAC address seems to change every boot. The problem is that the FiOS router (an ActionTec) I have remembers both the machine name and the MAC address (it nicely creates a DNS entry). If the same name appears with a different MAC address, it ignores the name from DHCP and cre…

  5. Hi there, Recently you helped me to setup a WiFI AP on Armbian and a bananapim2p board: https://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic/2395-access-point-mode-with-ap6212-on-armbian-521/ The current problem I am facing: the dhd module on armbian 5.25 does not on my bananapim2p boards. To be precise: I have one bananapi m2p where the dhd module loads perfectly on armbian 5.25, I created an image of this board's emmc and flashed the emmc of two different m2p boards. The dhd config file looks like: cat /etc/modprobe.d$ cat /etc/modprobe.d/dhd.conf options dhd op_mode=2 firmware_path=/lib/firmware/ap6212/fw_bcm43438a0_apsta.bin With the modprobe configuration the m2p board…

I received NanoPi NEO and NEO Air boards along with the NanoHat PCM5102a that FriendlyArm is selling: http://www.friendlyarm.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=169 It's a good quality audio stereo out addon board compatible with NEO and NEO Air. I got it working with Armbian on NEO Air! What I want to do is just to read GPIO state. When button pressed it goes to high state - normally. On RaspberryPi and Odroid C1 that works fine just using basic code with wiringpi2 or eventually wiringpi. So I tried the same on Zero compiling wiring for H3/H2. My code is basic in Python: import time import wiringpi import pyA20 as GPIO cykl = 1 wiringpi.wiringPiSetupGpio #or wiringPiSetup() wiringpi.pinMode(1,0) while cykl == 1 : do_call = wiringpi.digitalRead(1) if do_call: print 'pressed' time.s…

  24. What is the max current that the Orange Pi Plus (or other boards) can output for USB devices? Assume there is a high quality 3A power supply. For example, on Raspberry Pi it is documented here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/help/faqs/#powerReqs Note that the output amount is configurable on RPi (you must manually enable 1.2A output) - is there anything similar for OPi? Here is what needs to be changed in the boot config on an Rpi to change the power from 6mA to 1.2A: http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#USB_Power Thank you!

I remember there where a problem before, shutdown leads to reboot. But now it's the opposite - reboot leads to shutdown. Both gui button or: sudo reboot reboot sudo shutdown -r now sudo init 6 from terminal, or ssh, behave the same. This is on Armbian_5.25_Orangepipc_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113_desktop / Armbian_5.25_Orangepione_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113, from download section and self built.

  46. Hi, Trying to setup audio mux on orange pi boards, for now trying to stick on orange pi ZERO & ONE ( both of them ). By mux, meaning will try to setup some peers which can play locally or stream sources they have. Let's say all peers have - x2 line in - x1 mic - x1 line out Want to dynamically connect any source to any output on any peer. For example after choosing, you can able to play line in of peer 1 on peer 1 output OR peer1 line in on peer 2 output And I think CD quality is more than enough. Trying to find any tools that will help to make this. Two solution points needed: - hardware: ?? as far as I can find, there is "line…

Then you have to delete into another computer in sd card your scirpt bin file and rename script.bin.back to script.bin to return to HDMI monitor. DVI does not work at all . maybe it is producer error not software.

  48. Hi everyone, I have an orange pi pc+ (also a orange pi one) and i'm trying to use one of them as a wifi-wifi router. I've been able to do it work several times, with different wifi dongles, armbian versions (both debian and ubuntu legacy and mainline) but I always get low wifi speed in the AP interface. The problem is that the AP network through the orange pi always gives me around 30-10% of the full internet connection. That is, if my connection gives me 1.5mb/s, the client interface at orange pi gives around 1.5mb/s but at the AP interface is only 200-500 kb/s. I'm going to show here the last configuration I've tried. I would like to achieve a "decent" wifi…

I installed tasksel and its show a lot of packages on disk... so my question is what can be removed to keep a basic ubuntu server without a desktop interface and with some most used functions and files. I tried to remove some of them, like… ubuntustudio-videoubuntustudio-photography ubuntustudio-graphics mail-server ubuntu-gnome-desktop ... I didn't find it yet. By the way the desktop version is quite stable. Great job! Question2What I am looking for though is, how do I remove the x-server? Hello everyone, I have an Orange Pi Lite and I have a problem when I try to shut down the system, I receive stack errors. I've recorded a video to see if it detects what the problem is, I'm new to armbian and linux in general. Except for a bug that occurs in the partition several times (on two different microsd cards), I do not know what the problem might be, I read that it could be a kernel bug, but I'm not sure. I put the video link to see if anyone can help me, it is slowed down so it can be read. If I do not try to turn it off, everything works fine, but when I try to turn it off, it gives the errors and restarts as seen in the video. Thanks in advance. …

  55. With every upgrade I struggle with a "changed to default" login welcome message and have to do my modifications again. Therefore I would like to explain my changes and hope you can integrate them in the default version...: Your welcome message prints the $BOARD_NAME as ASCII art. Probably you have dozens of boards and can distinguish them in this way. So after login-in you directly see which board it is. I have only one type of "boards" (Cubietruck) and distinguish them by their hostname. So I have to replace "$BOARD_NAME" with "$(hostname -s)" in /etc/update-motd.d/10-header to identify my boards. What do you think about a change in that direction?

  56. Hey Guys, IM finally trying to make use of my OPi0 and Im planning on creating a daughterboard/hat/shield similar to the expansion board they sell, but with only the bits i need. One thing i'm wondering is if its possible to feed the power (5v) via the pins on the expansion board and not using the OTG input. Im trying to keep it as clean as possible and dont want to have the OTG connection for power. Is the regulator only on the OTG? Last I checked, my power supply gives out a steady 5.3v feed @5amps (driving some power hungry pixels). In regards to sound. I soldered a connector to the battery terminals on my BPro for portable operation, and it would be nice to have some kind of solution to raise an alert at low battery charge (like via the onboard LEDs), and automatically call system shutdown at a certain level. Googling has shown that the AXP209 has an i2c interface for sensors, and there are a few scripts for reading battery status here: http://hardware-libre.fr/2014/11/banana-pi-axp209-battery-power-monitoring/ My current plan is to pro…
