  6. Hi, Using the latest Armbian release (19.11.3) on OPi Zero (512MB, board revision 1.5) I have a strange issue. On kernel 5.3.x, Ethernet connectivity drops sporadically, around once every couple of minutes, for typically 10 seconds or so and then recovers. When the drop happens, a ping from another machine on the network produces 'no route to host' - then after around 10 seconds or so the network comes back up. The OPi Zero continues running normally during the 'outage', without functional network access. There is nothing in the dmesg log when this happens. Switching to kernel 4.19.62 from armbian-config, everything works perfectly. Back to 5.3.x, the iss…

  8. Hello. I just wanted to let you know about a possible bug I have found in the kernel installation script. I was using my OPi+2e with the default kernel, and today I installed next to test it, using armbian-config. Everything went fine, and seemed very stable overall (I didn'd use it for more than two or three hours, though). But then I wanted to revert to default, so I used armbian-config again. When I rebooted, the board started the u-boot sequence, but it got stuck on "Starting kernel". No other messages after that. I tried several times, with the same results. Since I have no logs, the only info I can give you is that I have an external USB HDD …

  9. I have ironed out my OPZ woes and have it working well now along with the Mainline Armbian image. As we may know the onboard wifi is garbage and will not get fixed, however I found a dirt cheap plug and play usb alternative on ebay (or aliexpress.com) using the common (Ralink?) mt7601u kernel driver. As long the dongle matches the photo in the listing it should have the same chipset. It has very low power consumption and at least with my wifi router gets the maximum 10mbit/sec throughput for downloads on my internet connection at a distance of 5 meters. I also added to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf .... blacklist xradio_wlan …

In bouth cases compilation prcess itself was finished successfully but resulting driver ovpn-dco-v2.ko didn't work. In the first case, the driver caused a kernel error. In the second case, after "modprobe ovpn-dco-v2" , openvpn stuck somewhere in the middle and lsmod has hung down, blocking the console. 17. Hi Everyone. I have an Orange Pi One and I can use the micro USB (otg) port as a standard USB port - I can plug in a memory stick or USB speakers and it works fine. Is it possible to have the same functioniality with the OPI Zero? I tried and it does not work - I am powering the board through the GPIO header. Even if I plug in USB speakers that have an LED indication - no LED lights, so I guess no power. I looked at the fex file from the OPI One and could not see the difference there in the OPI Zero. I know it is in beta, so I do not expect it straight away, but it would be good to know if it is possible Thanks for any help. J

Hi I'm auto-login using nodm with orange pi. I run my udp.py file by creating a file named udp.desktop under the .etc/xdg/autostart folder at startup. but I need to play the wav file using pygame in the .py file, but I get a warning that the audio device could not be initialized. If I trigger my .py file manually, I can play the wav file without any problems. probably unable to load sound drivers during autostart. Can you help with this.

Hi, I have two questions: 1. Where can I download the latest image for my board? rom this forum entry I see there is no armbian image for the first Orange Pi? The link https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi/ doesn't work, as it redirects to https://www.armbian.com/orange-pi-plus/ which is definetly not the same (A20<>H3) 2. After doing a 'firmware upgrade' from armbian-config, it identifies itself as a Banana-pi. Is it normal? The MOTD is BPi and armbian-config shows BananaPi as well.

Currently the OS I'm using is the Lime A20 Armbian Stretch 4.14.84, everything is works fine except for the 2 GPIO LED. I have no idea how to let it work. I have the edited "sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dtb" from Armbian Jessie 4.11.5 which is mainly for the board. May I know is there a way to incorporated the "Armbian Jessie 4.11.5's sun7i-a20-olinuxino-lime.dtb into the A20 Armbian Stretch 4.14.84 so that the 2 LEDs will work again? 54. Ok, so, first of all, I am a complete noob. I bought Banana Pi thinking that it is similar to Raspberry Pi's architecture but it's obviously not. I bought a 240x240 Waveshare 1.3 inch hat and I was wondering how to get it working on my Banana Pi Zero (H2+). On Raspberry Pi I can use Juj's fbcp-ili9341 driver but it's probably not compatible with Armbian, right? How do I go about it? Also, it would be nice to know how to detect buttons (that are on the hat) and convert them to key strokes. Thanks!

  55. Hello, I know one should't ask or complain here regarding the dev kernel branch, but maybe somebody of you stumbled upon this and knows where to point me: I successfully build and used the "dev" kernel several times for the BananaPi (Allwinner A20 Soc) and it works just fine. The patch regarding the axp209 sysfs interface can simply be taken over from the from the "next" kernel branch and you get a working temperture reading from the axp209 pmu. I still haven't managed to get the internal soc's temperature sensor working in dev kernel, though. I know it has something to do with the touchscreen driver but couldn't find out what exactly is required to make it…

  58. First time poster, hopefully I'll get along with all of you! I am currently trying to connect a DS18(b)20 cable to my Banana Pi M2+, which is running Jessie Desktop. I connected the 3,3 V to Pin 1, GND to Pin 6 and Data to Pin 7, as well as the recommended 4,7k Ohm resistor between them. Since, as I should have mentioned, I am an absolute beginner (literally just got into this a few days ago), I used a German tutorial for this, which told me to enter the following into my command module: After which my /sys/bus folder shows a "w1" folder, which it does. However, the cable itself cannot be found. After some tinkering, I found that w1-therm does not seem…

Receiver device is a BEM-182 Broadcast Monitor on its HDMI input - only 2 VU-meter band appears. Other test setup is the same receiver in SDI input mode with an HDMI to SDI converter.
