Amlogic CPU Boxes

It is now 2 weeks I run linux-image-current-meson64 with no problems. I manage to get rid of tearing while playing video with vlc by using wayland/weston instead of X11/openbox (picom did not help). While playing video cpu goes from around 40% in X11 to 20% with weston \o/. You can find vlcd.service, scripts and config files in attached files. TODO list : - Move vlcd.service to weston.service and try to replace vlc-xxxx.sh scripts with ~/.config/systemd/vlcd.service - format /boot in ext4 vlcd.service vlcd-start.sh vlcd-stop.sh weston.ini vlcrc.wl

I have one Beeling GT1 with Balbes150 Armbian_20.10_Arm-64_buster_current_5.9.0.img and meson-gxm-beelink-gt1.dtb. Only get Eth0 or Wlan0 to connect if I go to Android and then reboot with USB pen inserted. If reboot directly to Armbian with previous boot to Android, get an error with Failed to raise. What can be done to insure Eth0 or Wlan0 will allways start at boot?

Yesterday I successfully installed armbian 20.10 on my bqeel M9C MAX on sd card following this thread (https://forum.armbian.com/topic/12162-single-armbian-image-for-rk-aml-aw-aarch64-armv8/page/48/) I had no desktop manager available and tried several times to fix it by installing xfce4 and lightdm but with no success (I always had "xserverrc x not found" error). After that I accidentally run the script install-am.sh which properly completed the installation. I have no problem installing Manjaro , emuelec , or ALT Linux. I was trying to get a buster distro working , or figure out how how to set up the SMB.conf , I'm trying to use it as a Samba share for the Playstation 2 an OPL I can't seem to get the SMB up an running at all though. Hi, I would like to maintain the kernel version updated on the box (for video reading performance because I still got some stearing when the camera moves horizontaly). Now that there is no more support for amlogic (I can understand why reading the forum), can I use the available bullseye/linux-image-current-meson64 package from the armbian repo (which is now 5.9.6 not 5.9.0)? I got couple of Amlogic S905 and S905x boxes. And i think i've used at least a 7-8 hours to see if i can get these to work again. I tried to use the lastest images with S905 boxes, and it is has been a real hassle to get it working. Some times i had to hook up an USB disk in addition to get it to boot the rootfs. And when i finally get into the OS, the network won't work. Both the built in Ethernet port and an USB Ethernet adapter. Both can detect a link, but unable to to receive IP from DHCP nor is it possible when manually assigned to get it to ping the GW. Is support for such devices by @balbes150still something that he still does?

Most things work out of the box. I have however a problem with audio sink not being available for HDMI Tx audio.
