The PSU works for everything I've plugged it into. I re-flashed the SDcard several times. And I tried some ways that I googled and some postings here. All to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi, I installed a fresh Armbian_22.05.4_Rockpi-4a_sid_edge_5.18.0 first on SD-card, then I used nand-sata-install to copy system to emmc. After that I rebooted and set up the nas (rockpi-4a with 4 ssd-drives). I already used ssh remote shell to perform apt dist-upgrade and copying of about 6TB ... When all setup was finished, I shutdown the system, closed the tower and restarted again. On that restart, the network came up without inet-address. ifconfig showed eth0 and l0, but eth0 had a mac-address (not the one, I configured in armbianEnv.txt) but no ip-address. Here are some lines from syslog: Aug 28 15:57:01 mynas NetworkManager[1659…

  7. Hello, When we install armbian cinnammon, the eth0 ip is set default to 192.168.0.8. I cloned the installation and then the cloned conflicts with the source so I though to use armbian-config to change the IP adress. The ipv4 changed but I noticed warnings in/var/log/syslog : IPv6: eth0: IPv6 duplicate address.. It seems armbian-config does not update ipv6 or? What should be do, disable ipv6? I read it is not recommended at all.

  8. I am new to armbian, and so far I managed to build a working image with some custom packages added and some removed by customizing `userpatches/lib.config`. Easy stuff and it's working great so far! Now I need to build some packages from sources and get them added to the resulting image. The usual way I would do this, would be installing a cross toolchain, having a staging dir with includes and libs from the dev packages I add to the image, etc. But after building the base armbian image, on my system I see I have two docker images related to armbian (ghcr.io/armbian/docker-armbian-build and armbian.local.only/armbian-build), and I wonder if maybe the "local on…

I think about buying a PCDuino3 Nano board and I'd like to install your Debian Jessie Vanilla kernel image on it. However, the current download page states that NAND support is not implemented yet. Can you tell (approximately) how soon it will be supported? Or are there other ways to install the image to the NAND flash? Thank you in advance!

    I'm looking to potentially set up a dedicated VPN server probably using an Olimex Olinuxino A20 Lime 2. The main thing I was somewhat confused about is how to connect to my router and how to ensure that traffic is routed through the VPN server? Presumably to connect to my router I would just use an Ethernet cable. But how then would I ensure that all traffic goes through the VPN? The vast majority of SBC that I have seen only have 1 Ethernet port so connecting devices physically is a no go. I assume I might need to use some form of port forwarding?

  11. Hi, guys. I need some help in understanding of usage AR100 (OpenRISC) coprocessor inside H3 SoC for the own real-time tasks. Now i'm using mainline kernel built with RT-PREEMPT patch. I'm using it with Machinekit (LinuxCNC) software to control stepper drivers/motors via GPIO step/dir pulses. But step pulses frequency is too slow (about 17 kHz) because the RT kernel latency is about 30 us. I think we can use the built-in coprocessor for the realtime GPIO toggling. The AR100 and main Cortex-A7 can talk to each other with built-in MSGBox. And the question is - how to launch my own firmware on the AR100 core?

    I ran "apt-get dist-upgrade" on armbian 8.8 and got 8.10. Then I ran apt-get install linux-dtb-next-sunxi linux-headers-next-sunxi linux-image-next-sunxi Now the system has been busy with Setting up linux-headers-next-sunxi (5.41) ... Compiling headers - please wait ... for four days - since friday morning. The system is actually running make & gcc, with changing PIDs so it really /does/ something. I just wonder how long this is gonna take. Hardware is a Banana Pi Router R1

  47. I'm trying to get something beyond Android on a Jide Remix Mini. Originally sold as an "Android PC", it's now unsupported by manufacturer. The configuration is not bad: Allwinner A64 SOC and my unit has 2GB of RAM and 16 GB eMMC. Unfortunately, linux-sunxi lists it as (yet) unsupported. I'm not that knowledgeable with image building, so any help would be appreciated.

    This is on a 4GB NanoPi M4 v1. There are a number of files matching the spec '/etc/ssh/ssh_host_*' but they are all zero bytes, which renders the machine inaccessible by ssh. I'm pretty sure this is happening on every install, I've been troubleshooting and reinstalled several times from the latest image and ssh was not working at any time.

  52. I'm running Armbian 20.08.1 (Ubuntu) in NanoPi NEO3, and after running sbc-bench,sh benchmark, the temperature does not revert to the idle temperature for several hours until exactly 4am. The system was idle all that time, until a small CPU usage spike at 4am. That's because it rebooted at that time, maybe due to a short power failure. So what confuses me a lot is why the idle temperature will get back to around 60C only after a reboot. 11 hours of idle time would not do it, but a simple reboot would magically drop the temperature by close to 15C.

  53. I'd like some help please. The ethernet device naming seems inconsistent and sometimes changes following reboots. Sometimes one interface comes up as eth0 and sometimes as eth1, and sometimes not at all. The enp1s0 interface seems to reliably come up, but not with the right config (sometimes it uses the config for enp1s0 and sometimes for eth0). I am trying to assign status IP addresses (on different networks) to each interface, but because of the unreliable bringup of the network interfaces, I can't get a config that starts up correctly and consistency on reboots or cold boots. As a test I ran the friendly-core-lite-focal from …

I had 2 rockpi, one with sata hat which plays the nas role and one without sata drives, which is my frontend for home cinema (connected to AVR and beamer). Last few days I had the effect that the frontend froze and after close examination it turned out that all memory was used up. Fortunately, I already had a new rockpi with 1,4Gb memory. I thought I'd just change the eMMC and go on as before. But that was probably a big mistake. The new one did not start at all with the eMMC from the 1.2Gb rockpi. Armbian documentation on Overlays refers to /boot/armbianEnv.txt. But in the version of Armbian that I'm running (on a Cubietruck, ARMBIAN 5.36 user-built Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) 4.13.16-sunxi) there is no such file. There is however a copy in directory /usr/share/armbian. Is this the overlay file that is processed at start-up? If so, it would be good if the documentation was updated.

This version includes Python bindings, so I'm no longer generating CFFI bindings for this library. I've converted all the example code to use the new bindings. User Space IO is Python 3 and Java 8 bindings for Linux user space GPIO, SPI, I2C, PWM and Serial interfaces. User Space IO is a consistent API for C, Python 3 and most JVM languages. No more hacked up RPi.GPIO and WiringPi for each SBC model.

I checked the Application->setting->display and used xrandr -q to print out the parameters : Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 3840 x 2160 HDMI-1 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 575mm x 323mm 1920x1080 60.00*+ 60.00 50.00 59.94 24.00 23.98 1920x1080i 60.00 50.00 59.94 1680x1050 59.88 1280x1024 60.02 1280x960 60.00 1360x768 60.02 1280x800 …

  95. Problem: Wifi Dongle D-Link DWA-131 (RTL8192EU) doesn't work in automated 'armbian-config' program to configure it as an AP. Tried: On a fresh install of Buster Current on SD card, I booted up and did 'armbian-config > Network > Hotspot'. At the end of the setup it said there is no compatible 'hostapd' driver. I also tried an image of FriendlyWRT on this SBC. I could get the Wifi Dongle to be recognized, but radio0 said "device not set", and wifi was 'not associated'. Goal: Get DWA-131 to function as a hotspot on my FriendlyElec NanoPi R2S using armbian (or FriendlyWRT). I want to use this device as a hotspot (or rou…

    Hello I have a working armbian image working well on mi "LePotato", but now I need to use the SPI interface to communicate with a sensor, however I see no spi on /dev/. I read the official images have spi support here , I tried the Ubuntu image and it is working. Is there any way to enable it inArmbian? I read the documentation in https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Allwinner_overlays/ , where points to use custom overlays with .dts files. I see the .dts overlay files used in the Ubuntu image are in github here, however when I try to use armbian-add-overlay I get the message "armbian Overlays are not supported on Meson64 based boards". I am not an expert…

    hi to all how can I change the armbian logo in bootsplash? I've searched for it in this forum and saw some similarity but that not solved my problem. I enabled the bootlogo=true in /boot/armbianEnv.txt and after that the logo appears in boot instead of texts and that's fine but I want to change the logo. also in boot.cmd I found this: if test "${bootlogo}" = "true"; then setenv consoleargs "bootsplash.bootfile=bootsplash.armbian ${consoleargs}"; fi changed the "bootsplash.armbian" with some bitmap file but after doing mkimage to create boot.scr, the logo went missing and texts are back. searched in file system for "bootsplash.armbian" and found thi…

  98. Hi all. I've just finished a new video where I show the gameplay of EmuElec on the Odroid HC4. I must say I'm amazed by how well it performs. It doesn't perform that much worse than the Odroid N2+. The biggest advantage is that you can use a normal 3.5" hard drive for your games library. The single USB2 port is enough to connect your controller. Here's my video.

    I am new to arm devices. I'm trying to build a fully working armbian system for the pcduino8-uno which uses the Allwinner a83t/h8 soc. I know these are not the best, but I got it from amazon for $18 and it runs home assistant very well. I built a new u-boot which appears to initialize the hardware properly as it sees all the usb port as well as obtains an ip from my dhcp server. Using sun8i-a83t-allwinner-h8homlet-v2 as my starting point.. I built a new kernel from 6.1.0-rc6. Everything seems to work properly except the ethernet controller. I can use a usb ethernet dongle, but I would like to get the onboard working Dmesg shows " [ 1.59462…
