  5. This message is on-topic, but for an unknown reason, it is not possible for me to create a message in Help wanted. So I post here. I have used Armbian for two years, I think, on several devices, and I have given some money to support it. Thanks for the job. I recently upgraded to the last version with Debian 11. But after that if we try to switch to another wireless network it fails. It doesn't even reconnect to the first network ever. If we plug in an external usb wifi adapter(which uses a different driver than the internal wifi driver) it works without problem as expected. What do you think ? Have you experienced the same problem ever ? What is wrong with the internal wifi ? It was working good in xenial. I blacklisted the internal driver and using external wifi adapter for now. Hi all, I'm experimenting with OPi Zero 2+ and I would like to flash onboard eMMC with a fresh Armbian (from a clean img, not from running system). What I did is booting from SD, downloading an Armbian img and dd'ing it into emmc device file, being sure it would have been enough since is what we do (I think?) when we write img to SD cards. I found out it won't boot unless I manually flash sunxi-spl.bin at 0x2000. What am I missing? Isn't that supposed to be flashed with image? Is dd a proper method to flash a clean image on mmc from a running system? Thank you

My headless Orange Pi Zero Plus was configured to boot from a powered external USB2 drive with 3 partitions, a 48Gb linux partition populated by armbian-config, a 4Gb swap partition and a 800Gb NTFS data partition (shared by Samba). The setup is stable and works beautifully when powered up from the powered off state. The Pi fails to start when I reboot it. I suspect that the USB port or drive or both need some kind of reset when a reboot occurs. Has anybody encountered this problem? Is there a known solution?

  41. Hello! For some weeks now my BPM1 behaves a bit strange concerning video output. I used to connect my Banana to my monitor via a HDMI-DVI cable, which worked well for a very long time. Now, when I reboot the system, my monitor says "no signal", when I use that cable, as it does also when I use a pure HDMI-HDMI cable. The only way to make the Banana's video output work, is by using a HDMI-DSUB converter. I placed it into my NanoPC T4 - which currently boots from the eMMC, and held the boot button while powering on. It tried to boot - but it kept reporting there was no bootloader file and seemed to be trying to load something from the internet, not the SD card. If I dont press the boot button, it simply ignores the SD card and boots from eMMC. I reburned the SD card several times, and each time it verified fine. Does anyone know what I did wrong?

  58. Hi, I want to make my orange pi 3 lts work in a similar way to the way Wifi manager works on esp8266 projects The idea being that if there is not a valid Wifi connection found then an AP is activated so a user can connect to a captive portal and enter the wifi ssid and password anc click connect. the pi then reboots and tries to connect. if that is successful then it works as normal if it is not then it reactivates the AP. I found various different partial solutions but none of which seem to work well with my setup. this might be either due to the orange pi or Armbian. Hello all. I'm obviously a newbie to this all and have a Libre Le Potato I just purchased. Put in Armbian Bullseye and got everything configured so my Python script runs on boot and writes the data it records by sending a byte string through the USB port to a device and records the parsed response. All is well there, but I needed to add an RTC to this and I have many DS3231 boards that I've integrated with Arduino boards recently and they all work well. I've soldered the connections to the 3.3V, GND, SDA, and SCK pins and matched those to the GPIO pins 1, 9, 3, and 5 respectively. I've gone into 'armbian-config' and enabled…

  63. For any one interested in software defined radio the OrangePi.pc and Armbian 5.05 software is a killer combination. The extra horsepower of the Allwinner H3 quad core and the clean Armbian Linux implementation give you a great platform for Software defined Radio. The $10 low cost RTL2838 dongle has an enormous amount to offer. But plugging it into a big computer laptop is not always practical It is often better to put the RTL2838 dongle as close to the antenna as possible. This could mean a long USB cable and voltage drop issues. So now you can buy a $9.99 Orange Pi.one and use it as a RTL to ethernet/ opt.wifi extender. You "just" Plug the RTL2838…

I tried to install Syncthing, which failed to start, then now Webmin, hoping to be of "smaller scale", but no lack. It repeatedly fails to do something, displaying the errors behind the curses window, so I had to stop it with Ctrl-C. Then I got back to the menu and after quit, a cleared screen. Brilliant. Are there logs stored somewhere, at least? I checked /var/log/, but got no further. Or how I am supposed to go through failing installations? Thank you,

My understanding is, that I should let boot.cmd unchanged (rootdev "/dev/mmcblk0p1") and armbianEnv.txt should do its magic, but the rootdev setting in armbianEnv.txt is simply ignored upon SPI boot and it fails to boot, as it tries to load the root fs from SD card... Hello. I have orangepi zero 512mb + TFT Screen ili9341 fully working. Unfortunately, the screen size of 240x320 does not allow using Armbian 21.08.2 at this resolution. Is there a way to fix this at least a little bit? What Armbian code should I dig into?
