  1. Hi, I'm trying to build an image on Windows. But when running compile.sh, I get the following error: [💲|💥] Problem detected [ WSL2 Terminal does not support UTF-8 ] Full log: https://paste.armbian.com/zopitumatu I don't know why this is happening, I've tried both cmd, powershell 5, powershell 7, all with the same result. The log mentions the Windows Terminal in the Microsoft Store should support it, but that already is installed and seems to just open the same Powershell 5, with the same error. Any idea on how to fix this?

  2. Hi! I would like to know if there is a way at the startup to load new uboot / system to sdcard or spi flash. The fact is for DIY waterproof system, it's hard to remove sdcard, sometimes OPi isn't close of my computer. Idealy i would like TFTP / serial upgrade like openwrt router. Maybe it's impossible since TFTP upgrade need to download before image to ram, check it and burn it. With OP PC we have 1G ram to store image before write it on sdcard... Any idea? thanks

Hello, I am a green hand of using armbian and also the development board. However, I want to use a 2.8 inch ILI9341 screen to show the zsh (desktop). I have read some articles and disscusion about this, however, things seem to be different when I want to deal with it. I even don't know how to add the overlay because there is no such a directory. Should I create it by myself, or I should use some command? I really hope some one can help me, thanks This is my environment Linux nanopik2-s905 6.1.30-meson64 #8 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 24 16:32:53 UTC 2023 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

  10. Hello! I have a stash of OPi H3 boards and it just occurred to me that there's no way to interface them with a storage device in any decent way. What am I missing here??? I also have a lot of 100 GB SATA SSD's, and I thought to myself, wouldn't it be great if each SBC could have its own SSD. But then I realized... how the hell am I going to get any kind of decent IO? If it's not possible with SSD's connected locally, let's forget them and then think, what other storage device can I use so that my OPi boards have some respectable IO device to work with? Please tell me where the gap in my understanding is?! Thanks!

Hello, I compiled a little GUI application using Qt for my Orangepi One, Running Armbian 5.41 (Mainline) . However, when executing I get the following error message: libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate I figured this was related to the graphics driver. However Mesa is running fine with the glxgears -info test showing up normally and rendering just fine. I didn't see anything unusual in glxinfo either. I found this https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/61078/qt-applications-dont-work-due-to-libegl and symlinked the library files, but the proposed fix is not working for me. Hello everyone! I recently heard about running x86_64 programs on ARM using box64, and decided to give it a try. I get the impression that most people are just using it for games but I would like to use it to run Quartus (a program to work with Intel FPGAs). The issue I see is getting the USB drivers to work. Quartus includes drivers for several programming cables (I am only interested in the USB blaster cable), and as far as I know there are no drives available that run on ARM. Is there any hope at all of getting the x86 drivers to work on ARM? Thanks in advance.

  57. Hi all, i just stumbled upon the Bana Pi M4 Zero while searching for an pi zero 2w alternative that features at least 5ghz network support. My use case is explained quickly, I want to use g_mass_storage to create an smart usb stick device. I can't use libcomposite, since old devices (and it's going to be used with old tech) don't support composite as far as I know. Is g_mass_storage supported by default or would I have to compile my own kernel/image?

That seems to work fine. However, the problem I have is when I have a power failure and everthing reboots at the same time, the server boots before my NAS. I then have to ssh in and run “sudo mount -a”. Is there a way to have the server detect and mount the NAS whenever it’s available to the network?
