  1. The "desktop" image for Banana Pi used to be based on Debian Jessie, but now it has been replaced by a Ubuntu xenial based image. For some reason I need the debian image, but after checking https://dl.armbian.com/bananapi/archive/ I did not see the old images. Is it possible to have the old image now? Thanks! (I have been using that jessie desktop image for a long time until just now the SD card died...)

  2. Hi, my problem is that I can't figure out why doesn't wifi access point doesn't show up, after setting up neither with Config utility from the desktop, neither manually from the website documentations help. What am I missing here? First, the Config utility that I'm using it asks me to reboot every time I set it up successfully, but after reboot it doesn't appear anywhere, neither my smartphone won't find the ARMBIAN connection. Second, I tried the way it is documented on the websites help section on how to set up an access point. I've changed the required files with nano, copied and nothing. Hey kids, it is me, again! So, this time I found out (well, you maybe knew it before and I am dumbing around again) that voltage control does not work on Banana Pi (at least) mainline kernel. Well, if I am supposed to change it in linux-mainline/arch/arm/boot/dts/sun7i-a20.dtsi. I tried to reach 1248000kHz, which is, of course, unstable. So I was adding and adding voltage, until I was too afraid to continue (1650000mV ). But BananaPi was unstable the same way (freez after few minutes of FTP transfer), no more (bad charger) or no less (would still need more voltage). So after few hours of re-compiling source and listening wonderful music I tried this: 1248000(kHz)…

Hello again, since I use the NAND-Flash to boot and I want to use the new kernel, which doesnt support NAND yet, I'm curious if its possible to use both: 1. Can I boot the new kernel from NAND? Since the new kernel is started after uboot, it should be possible? 2. Afterwards I have no possibility to update the kernel again. Or do I have? (Without SD-Card) a.) the nand-tools requires the nand-driver??? Or is there a possibility to writea prebuild image to nand without kernel-nand-support? b.) is it possible to start an old kernel from the new for upgrading? Tried "kexec uImage", but it doesnt work. Maybe I need the zImage instead of uImage? best regards

  47. Hi, I wrote Armbian_5.25_Cubietruck_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113.img to sd-card and booted my cubietruck from the card. ssh in and user creation followed by reboot (rootfs resize) After that i performed apt get update&upgrade and started nand-sata-install. I have SSD hooked to CubieTruck and my goal is boot system from onboard memory (with 3.4-kernel nand is available but not with 4.9...) and roots to /dev/sda1. This was how previous setup was. sd-card slot is broken, I need to use tape to keep card on the reader, another reason why boot from nand would be nice. However, when i start and-sata-install, following is displayed on con…

I feel some frustration on the latest kernel updates, and wondering if anyone have some info about the next kernel update that solve this issues. Do you advise me to change to nightly builds to get a new kernel to test? สมัครufabet Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

  55. These boards are well suited to routing/network traffic control functionality. Currently the kernel has been compiled with Traffic Control stuff disabled, which makes it impossible to perform traffic shaping on stock Armbian kernel. I'm busy recompiling the kernel as a temporary solution, but I will really appreciate it if the kernel build maintainer can please change the traffic control options from DISABLED to MODULE (at least)? I have a bunch of Armbian boards but I'm testing with NanoPi Neo 2 right now. --- I'll let you know the size of the modules once I've finished compiling.

The old 0.14.0 version doesn't work well with subtitles, ending up with subtitles drawing on top of each others, when the text is moving fast. Is there any build I could download and install? Or some other workaround? Edit: Kodi draws the subtitles correctly, but it has pretty awful screen tearing. Using black bloxes instead of just some outline on the subtitles does work, but it's not an acceptable fix to me. So, it would be great it was possible to use whatever kodi uses to draw the subtitles, but then use mpv to draw the video.

The session eventually times out on client but sometimes I have to kill it manually. There are no modifications to PAM nor systemd-logind configurations and the configuration is exactly the same as on other devices. I'm wondering what may cause this misbehaviour, and how can I fix this? (This topic was created yesterday before db failure/site update and I can't find it now on restored site, I guess it has been lost)

After updating the crypttab file I ran update-initramfs -u. But after reboot the drive is still locked. Why is this? I suspect it might be because of the order of things at boot. Maybe crypttab is called before the USB device is initialized? Any help would be appreciated. Edit: I had a incorrect crypttab that's why it didn't mount. It works now thanks!

I looked in the waveshare website and github, they don't have anything for the ili9488 Then, I found some arduino code in http://www.lcdwiki.com/3.5inch_SPI_Module_ILI9488_SKU%3AMSP3520 (look for the "3.5 inch SPI Module Package(ILI9488)" link, then find the LCDWIKI_SPI.cpp The initialization sequence is in line 1697: Spoiler…

  93. Hi, Recently while I was using the banana pro, it locked itself up and I had to manually pull out the power. And after that, it cannot boot anymore with armbian or bananian, the red light turned on and thats it, no more activities. :-( But with lemaker's oficial image it can boot up normally. What could be the problem? Do I have a faulty hardware? Thanks!

  94. Hi again guys, I buy some usb wireless boards to connect to the GPIO with the UART Pines, but in the especifications of the GPIO, only i see 1: Has you can see only GPIO 14 and 15 have TXD and RXD... I will use too the SPI to add other ethernet so... its possible use other GPIO for TXD and RXD?? In my Pixhawk (board for drones) i use I2C for monitoring stats via wireless (2.4Ghz), maybe this pines can work for usb wireless. If is possible, how can i program other pines for that? will be any diference? (more slow or more cpu resources or whatever?) Thanks like always!

  96. Edit: Nothing was wrong with the Orange PI. I turned out to be my switch. Hi All, Firstly, Armbian is just fantastic. Secondly, this issue is highly likely to have nothing to do with Armbian, but just the cheap crap you'd expect from a cheap SBC. Essentially, after much pain and anguish having bizarre Ethernet connectivity issues with a shiny new Orange PI PC I bought a couple of days, which was: 1. When OPI was connected my network switch (which has four other devices connected to it: two Ethernet and two WiFi), none of the other devices can reliably 'ping' or SSH to the OPI... 25% to 100% packet loss. 2. When connecting the OPI physically directly to ex…

  97. Started by PoV,

Hey. I'm not sure if I perhaps caught the Armbian website in the middle of an update, but there doesn't seem to be any Ubuntu (Xenial) builds for H3 boards anymore ... with the exception of the NanoPi Neo. It's all Legacy Jessie builds right now. Thanks,

  99. Hi there, My question is to Orange Pi Zero owners. I've read is has DDR3 RAM shared with GPU. What is a minimum value of GPU memory? I'm looking for headless setup so it would be good to know how much memory can be used by OS. Thank you in advance.

  100. Have not been able to confirm if it is possible for the Orange Pi Zero to act as a virtual mass storage device. I would like to be able to plug this into a device and have that device treat the Pi Zero as a USB drive, and write to the on board SD as such. I believe this requires USB on the go so that the device can be USB slave. Any input on the topic is appreciated. I know the Raspberry Pi Zero W supports this, but I think i will have better luck with the wireless having an external antenna on the Orange Pi Zero.
