Until now I just formated the small sd card into ext4 and copied the /boot from larger sd card, but didn"t booted. Help is much appreciated.

I first noticed this on my Orange Pi Zero. The latest Armbian releases (4.13.x) have some kind of gap between bytes when transmitting over SPI. I have an SPI performance test built into my SPI_LCD code: https://github.com/bitbank2/SPI_LCD If you run the demo program, it measures how many frames per second it can write to an SPI-connected LCD. On older Armbian builds with kernel version 3.x, it would usually get 27-33FPS on the H2/H3 boards. With the mainline kernel builds and running the same code, I'm seeing 9-17FPS (depending on the board). The H5 doesn't seem to be affected (I'm using an Orange Pi Zero +2 H5 for testing also). Anyone else seeing…

Hi, Just a quick question as Debian Stretch has been out for a while now: Will there be an official upgrade of ARMBIAN for the Cubietruck (Cubieboard 3) at some point or is there a simple doc on how to upgrade the distribution? I run ARMBIAN with the legacy kernel (3.4.113-sun7i). Everything required for the system boot is in the NAND while the root and /home partitions are on the sdd. Would it be possible to upgrade to Stretch just by replacing the version name in the sources.list file? If there won't be any automated ARMBIAN upgrades to Stretch for this device. Would you recommend using the official Debian distribution (and bo…

Hi guys, Quick question about the USB ports on the Cubietruck. Once I am done with the usual setup procedure (changing the root password and setup a user) system reboot. I sometimes end up in situations where I need to access the Cubietruck directly and not through ssh. In such situations I noticed that my usb keyboard and mouse do not respond at all, eventhough if these are the exact same ones hich I used to the 1first time setup. What could be the reason for this ? Thx,blub4747

I bought an orange plate zero pi that I requested for a project. The issue is that I can not start the AP mode. I am making use of the hostapd and isc-dhcp-server packages, apparently everything is well configured, I am thinking that the problem is the chip driver of the wireless network. I put some relevant data, from now on thanks. root@orangepizero:~# /usr/sbin/hostapd /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf Configuration file: /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf nl80211: Could not configure driver mode nl80211: deinit ifname=wlan0 disabled_11b_rates=0 nl80211 driver initialization failed. wlan0: interface state UNINITIALIZED->DISABLED wlan0: AP-DISABLED …

I'm running the latest armbian on my Banana Pi M1 as a headless file/media server. My problem is that my Banana Pi would randomly stop working any time of the day. A day would not pass by without me having to reboot my server manually by pressing the reset button. There would still be network activity as the activity lights on the LAN keeps on flashing and it would still respond to my ping requests. I'd know it stopped working if I can't access the server's services anymore through its web ui (webmin, transmission, etc.) and to confirm this I'd try to SSH into it and it wouldn't connect. I tried creating a script where it would restart the LAN if it pinged the…

Hello, guys, has anyone ever faced issues with SPI controller on BananaPi M2 ? I am having a weird issue which is confirmed by at least 2 peripherals: Waveshare 3.5 LCD and NRF24 wireless chip. The data incoming from MISO is always shifted by 1 bit to the left. , i.e. reading STATUS register of NRF24 gives 0x1C instead of expected value 0xE. The same story with other registers. Saleae logic analyzer is always showing correct pictures !!! See attached image as an example of reading STATUS register from NRF24: master is sending 0x07 and receiving 0x0E (14). I have tweaked byte rate and other parameters - no result. I have finally tried to connect using…

Hi to everyone, I'm new at armbian forum, but following the project since some month. As far as I can tell all contributors make a great job to enable a stable debian based distribution to many as possible arm-based boards. Thanks a lot for this great job. Hi, I have Orange Pi Zero based on H2+ which is failed to boot Armbian_5.34_Orangepizero_Ubuntu_xenial_next_4.13.8.img Symptoms: Green power light is always on, red led next to it does not flash at all. Ethernet lights are off. I am using proper power supply and Sandisk A1 16Gb Class 10 micro sd-card. Connecting UART-USB adapter based on CP2102x to UART port next to Ethernet ports shows nothing. Exactly same setup, same hardware, no changes on connections/setup boots "Armbian_5.30_Orangepizero_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113.img" image without any problems. UART works fine. Any ideas how I can help to test newer image?

Hello all I want to control some GPIO pins on my NanoPi Neo (H3) board and installed WiringNP. Executing commands results in the error piBoardRev: Unable to determine board revision from /proc/cpuinfo I've traced the source of the error down to this line, where WiringNP tries to open /sys/class/sunxi_info/sys_info to determine which board it is running on. This path is not present in my Armbian os. I'm using 4.11.12-sun8i #20 SMP armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux Am I missing something here? Or are there alternatives to using WiringNP?

Hi, I am using the Armbian NanoPiDuo image and I have enable sound through armbian-config. It work well except for a small issue. When a file is sent to play, it misses out on about .5 seconds of the first part of audio. So if I run speaker-test -t wav, instead of the sound playing "front left" it just play the work left, the continues playing "front left" correctly. If I stop speaker test and run again straight away it work as planned. If I wait a few seconds the original problem occurs. To my basic knowlege, it seems like it is initialising the sound out. Is anyone else having this problem? Are there any settings I can adjust to …

I've installed this library on an Orange Pi PC Plus running 'Armbian 5.31 stable Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS 3.4.113-sun8i' with all updates and I would like to use wiringPiI2C but it doesn't work with either /dev/i2c-0 or /dev/i2c-1. I'm porting a library that interfaces to a DS3232 or DS3231 real-time-clock chip from Arduino and have used the initialisation sequence from the example in the WiringOP librar…

I have made a system with O Pi Lite and Armbian to automate an aquarium from where to control the light, the bubbles and with a webcam I can see the system through the web, everything automated from Cron. From a web page I can turn on and off the lights and bubbles from web buttons. Everything is fine. The problem arises when I want to put some phisical buttons for 3 things: turn off the system, change the state of light and bubbles. I have used a code in Python and the PYA20 library. This is the code. It works very well, but when I start it with the system, the program stop working soon and the buttons stop to work. #!/usr/bin/env python from pyA20.gpio…

Hello! I use OS armbian (2.9) on cubietruck board. I decided to upgrade to version 5.31 and have problems. Previously, parameters of hardware and interfaces SoC chip changed in the script.bin file. The bin2fex and fex2bin commands can edit these parameters. I do not understand where and what to edit (https://docs.armbian.com/User-Guide_Allwinner_overlays/) For example, how can I change the capacity of a connected battery? Previously it was the parameter pmu_battery_cap in the [pmu_para] section, its default value is 2100 I need to change it to 5000. Please help!

Hello all, I am very excited to install armbian debian jessie on my cubietruck ! I managed to get the Armbian_5.31_Cubietruck_Debian_jessie_next_4.11.5.img to an SD card, plugged it in, switched it on and everything went perfectly fine! Great! Now, I am trying to get this OS on the CT Nand. Sadly, the nand-sata-install doesn't work, returning the message : "There are no targets. Please check your drives". One very strange thing to me is the output of the /proc/partitions files that shows the following : major minor #blocks name 1 0 4096 ram0 1 1 4096 ram1 1 2 4096 ram2 …

I have read through the forum that Banana Pi Pro does not support directly powering drive over USB as it might be too much for this board. In my setup I use 2 A power adapter for my Banana Pi and an active HUB with power supply of 1 A, but with limit of 500 mA for HDD. Still, when connecting HUB to Banana Pi and HDD to HUB the same issue appears as when no HUB is used - the red diode turns off and Banana Pi looses power. I have already tried several HDDs (500 GB, 320 GB, 2 TB) - all with the same result. Anyone has some idea why this might be occuring despite powering drives from external source? Does Armbian have any software limitations that are creating this issue? …

Hi gurus! I'm trying to connect gc2035 camera to my OrangePi One, it's marked as SH-2035 at the cable. It is old problem, as I understand reading forum, but nothing to help me. I'm new Linux user and use Armbian 5.31, Linux orangepione 3.4.113-sun8i #18 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jun 15 02:16:06 CEST 2017 armv7l armv7l armv7l GNU/Linux. That camera works with Armbian 5.20, but I don't want to do downgrade. As I understand it needs to do right initialisation of camera in script.bin or rc.local, but what exactly?? Hi, I would like to replace my Raspberry Pi 3 with an external USB where I have Gentoo Linux system to Cubietruck with Debian mainkernel in a SATA 2.5" HDD. I have some noob questions: - I want to boot from SD card and system on SATA configuration. Can I make boot partition on SD card only-read? I want to avoid SD card filesystem corruption because of my bad experience with RPi. - Is enough powerful to run Nextcloud? Just for two users. - Is enough a 2A / 5V USB powersource (connect to Jack power connector)?

I'm testing the nightly image: Armbian_5.32.170704_Nanopineo2_Ubuntu_xenial_dev_4.11.8.img I've got it running nice and stable as a router and wifi AP, with 2 USB ports, one wifi adapter on each port. But when it's been off for a while and I power it on, it doesn't boot on the first powerup, only if I disconnect power and then wait a few seconds then power again. I've tried 2 different 2A 5v power supplies, one that I've successfully powered RbPi 2s and other Linux SBC's for months at a time, no problems. The voltage is good. I also tried a beast 10 port USB charger that has 6x 2A ports. Same behavior for all power supplies I've tried, and I…

Currently, There is no mainline release for Orange Pi One. The only release of mainline is in nightly build folder and the kernel version is v4.11.8, which doesn't work SPI chipselect. On armbian latest source compiled image, v4.13.9, SPI problem is solved. Do you have any plan to release official mainline image for Orange Pi One? Thank you very much.

Hi all, I recently purchased an orange pi after developing on the raspberry pi (just for convenience). I got it mainly because the integrated memory could be a real asset both because SD are faulty when making lots of memory accesses and emmc can provide a nice layer of code protection when giving the board to somebody else. I set-up everything without issue and I used the nand-sata-install to move everything to emmc...it worked like a charm. I then placed all my proprietary code on emmc and executed without issues. Problem is, I can obviously still insert an SD card and then mount the emmc and access my code since the SD is booted before the emmc.…

After some digging in Internet and investigation i figured out that in watchdog.service file one line is missed which was in all other services. So after a…

Today I was going through my cupboard and did find a original pcDuino (v1) with A10-CPU and 1GB of Ram. In my mind I got the pcDuino v2 download-page of armbian. As JohnGo did wrote May 2016 on this page is a picture of the pcDuino v1: So I checked the specifications v1 <--> v2 and found ony that v2 has only a WiFi-Board soldered where on the v1 is a additionally USB-Port.
