Hi, I'm trying to make my opi one act as a keyboard. I've found that I need to activate g_hid module, but when I trying to execute: modprobe g_hid it says: modprobe: FATAL: Module g_hid not found. Also, g_ether, g_mass_storage, g_multi, g_ptinter and g_serial modules are available. So, what should I do and maybe anyone can provide me an example how to send a keystroke to my pc? Thanks.

Ethernet lights are off. I am using proper power supply and Sandisk A1 16Gb Class 10 micro sd-card. Connecting UART-USB adapter based on CP2102x to UART port next to Ethernet ports shows nothing. Exactly same setup, same hardware, no changes on connections/setup boots "Armbian_5.30_Orangepizero_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113.img" image without any problems. UART works fine. Any ideas how I can help to test newer image?

In order to change the fontsize, I used the command "dpkg-reconfigure console-setup" and choosed the Terminus font with a bigger size. But no effect after reboot. So I miss a property button as available on Raspian. Thanks for yor help and best regards Walter

  11. Hi, has anyone been able to use the BPi 7 inch LCD (S070WV20-CT16) with Banana Pi M1+? I took the FEX file from this how-to: https://sinovoip.blogspot.hu/2015/08/how-to-banana-pi-bpi-m1-7-inch-touch.html and put it the "bin" subdir of the Armbian image (Armbian_5.20_Bananapipro_Debian_jessie_3.4.112_desktop.7z), then symlinked from the script.bin in the root dir to it (I did not change anything else in the image) and rebooted. I want to avoid SD card filesystem corruption because of my bad experience with RPi. - Is enough powerful to run Nextcloud? I'm testing the nightly image: Armbian_5.32.170704_Nanopineo2_Ubuntu_xenial_dev_4.11.8.img I've got it running nice and stable as a router and wifi AP, with 2 USB ports, one wifi adapter on each port. But when it's been off for a while and I power it on, it doesn't boot on the first powerup, only if I disconnect power and then wait a few seconds then power again. I've tried 2 different 2A 5v power supplies, one that I've successfully powered RbPi 2s and other Linux SBC's for months at a time, no problems. The voltage is good. I also tried a beast 10 port USB charger that has 6x 2A ports. Same behavior for all power supplies I've tried, and I…

On armbian latest source compiled image, v4.13.9, SPI problem is solved. Do you have any plan to release official mainline image for Orange Pi One? Thank you very much.

  73. TL;DR: The small H2+/H3 boards unlike their bigger siblings are all prone to overheating due to smaller PCB size (on the larger boards the PCB's groundplane acts somewhat as a large heatsink dissipating heat away from the SoC). Due to mainline kernel settings not being optimized currently all these boards are slower under constant load compared to legacy kernel. This should change but won't unless someone is looking into it and spends some time on this. Two areas that deal with this overheating tendency or are somewhat related are thermal protection / throttling: use the thermal sensor(s) inside the SoC to downclock various engines if specific tre…

Hi, I have today on ma Orange Pi Zero switch kernel from dev 4.11.12 to NEXT kernel 4.13.4 and notice that defined modules in /etc/modules file are not loaded during start system I must manually load and in log system: 0.002070] CPU: Testing write buffer coherency: ok [ 0.002628] /cpus/cpu@0 missing clock-frequency property [ 0.002662] /cpus/cpu@1 missing clock-frequency property [ 0.002692] /cpus/cpu@2 missing clock-frequency property [ 0.002725] /cpus/cpu@3 missing clock-frequency property and armbianmonitor don't show CPU frequency but on kernel 4.11.12 was OK I know that NEXT kern…

  95. Hi, I'm Glego and this is my first post. I was just fiddling around with my old BananaPI M1 and M1+, and stumbled upon ARMbian, which has great appraisals on the Bananapi forum. I'm creating a cluster of various SBC's and thought ARMbian is the OS to go. Unfortunatly I had an issue when setting up Docker and wanted to share the resolution for future reference. However I couldn't find the root cause, so if any expert would be able to comment on why this is happening, I will be happy the do the tests again. Cheers, Glego Issue After installing docker-ce, the service is not starting: docker.service start request repeated too quick…

How enable UART1 (pin 8 and pin 10) or UART2 (pin 11 and pin 13) I re-read a lot of documentation but did not find a solution, everyone writes abstractly. There is a concrete decision how to include it for orange pi (zero or one) and armbian. Correctly I understand that UART1 is ttyS1 and UART2 is ttyS2?????? p.s. Help, I'm ready to even pay for help ) uname -a Linux orangepizero 4.11.5-sun8i #11 SMP Fri Jun 23 20:03:23 CEST 2017 armv7l GNU/Linux

  98. Hi I have NanoPi-M1 board. It has two type of Ubuntu-Core as you can see here(https://www.mediafire.com/folder/3q2911p1qp33p/NanoPi-M1Board#dc73df73c6dk6) with kernels (3.4.39 amd 4.11.2). But when I try modinfo fbtft It says there is no file or directory like this! But I think it should be exist in kernels with version above 4.10. By the way, I need this kernel support to running my LCD! Are there any Armbian version like Ubunto core with this module support on kernel? Or can I add this support to yhose Ubuntu files in above link? how?

I'm trying to use the kernel-driver (1) for a DHT11 (or DHT22) humidity sensor with my NanoPi NEO. I'm already got this sensors working with some little C example-programs in userspace. I figured out that I need to apply a Device Tree overlay because the driver (dht11.c) needs to know the gpio-pin where the sensor is connected to. So - I don't know how to write such a file from scratch - I customised a existing overlay file - "sun8i-h3-pps-gpio.dts" (2) - only the lines "pins" (PG6) & "compatible with" (dht11) & "gpios" (&pio 6 6 1) /dts-v1/; /plugin/; / { compatible = "allwinner,sun8i-h3"; fragment@0 { …
